Robot Mode:

^ one of her helmet antennae looks crooked... that's because I broke it off while reassembling her. >>; Hobby glue's holding it in place, but I couldn't get it to fit back the way it was before it fell off.

^ Now this angle, I like, since she actually looks femenine from the side...

Altmode:

I took those stupid teeth off and painted it to look more like a solid beak, and also tried to paint on some decent eyes since the KO had like, nothing...

An albino pterodactyl with yellow spots! Oh noes!

The KO Terrorsaur mold is awful, TBH. I'm going to need to go back with the dremel or an exacto to remove some of the plastic and part of the metal pin at the end of that long post the pterodactyl's head sits on, since it won't clear the opening and as a result, Windy can't stand upright in robot mode without leaning on something... >>;

1.) That is not a crappy kitbash. You do some fine work there Windy. So stop this 'crappy' tagging of your work. This is a well done and clean looking redo.

2.) KO molds are hard to work with. The plastic is rarely as good, and pulling of something this good is alone an impressive feat.

So there. ;)^

Whether you like it or not, it is good work Windy.

Any chance of a close up on the face?

And KO's aren't that bad to work with. This KO Armada Megatron i'm using for Hecatomb is pretty good. Besides, kitbashing KO's just make them better!

You're work is fine, Windy.

I mean, come on, look at the craptastic job I did on the object at the end of this post.

Seriously Windy, you do excellent work, else no one would be trying to break your door down for commissions. ;)

And T-scream, that model doesn't look bad at all. Tis nice. ;)

Burn wrote:Any chance of a close up on the face?

Har, not with my cell phone. @_@

Besides, there's not much to it. The optics are the same light blue that I used for the pteranodon's eyes, but I was too afraid to paint on a mouth or lips for fear of totally fubar-ing the head.

Also, I've discovered that the crest I puttied in for Windy pretty much prevented me from changing her back into robot mode after I took the altmode pics (the antennae and gold thingy kept catching on what becomes the chestplate in robot form). I had to break the whole thing off to change her back, and so I just bit the bullet and painted the "v" thingy and gold crest on instead. :?

I do wanna try a BW Raider kitbash somewhere down the line, who's basically going to be a remold of BW Megs... (though no tail-hand. I'm trying to figure out how I could attatch the Dino tail to his rear end but still have him transformable, and where I could get a spare arm...)... I just wish there were some oversized BW T-Rex Megatron KOs out there, since his alt is a Giganotosaurus, and that's slightly larger than a 'Rex... :-?

EDIT: To be on topic, what started as a lecture class doodle may become a full-blown BW comic featuring Windy, Raider, and perhaps a few of my friend's OC's if they allow me to use them. The doodle/sketch is atrocious (HA! No "c" word here! XP), but I promise the photoshopped lineart/colors will be so much better. Linkage.

I doubt he's much, if at all, easier to find. My suggestion is to use the Cybertron Jungle Planet Megatron: cheap, available, and the tail already comes off. Unless the Transmetal look or deluxe size doesn't work for Raider.

There is also the Beast Wars Op vs Megs TRU exclusive 2 pack. But unless it is clearanced, that's $40.

Another possibly good find (though it might be a little too mechanical for a Beast Wars character) is Classics Grimlock, since he's become a little easier to find lately.

I'd thought about both of those molds, to be honest, but like I said, I was going for an organic-style dinosaur altmode (like BW Megs or T-Wrecks). I could easily use the TRU two-pack Megs if they ever end up getting marked down or I could salvage a junker, but I was really shooting for a larger KO (since some of those companies are so fond of oversizing the molds *coughTmRattrapcough*). I heard somewhere that there was an oversized T-Wrecks KO, I just don't remember where it was being sold... Drives me nuts, because that would be perfect.

Yes, I know I used that background again, and yes, I know I used a few bits from an old Damocles pic too... :P

*edit*

Just realised the left wing is too **** low, and I've flattened the whole bloody thing as well, so I can't alter it... :-x

After a re-arrangment of my room i've managed to squeeze all my kitbashes and repaints (bar one waste of space and two incompletes) onto the one shelf.

So along with my classics ... here they be!

Left hand side, you should be able to make out the pink feet.

Two incomplete ... one I may as well complete because i'm never going to get the sticker paper I want for my custom faction label unless I fork out a fair bit of money. The other (Hecatomb) is waiting on some parts to arrive.

Look forward to seeing the unnamed one.

Group shot of my six HMW beastbots. Leatherblade isn't pictured mainly because A) he doesn't have a solid design, and B), he's pretty much a placeholder until I think of something better. XD

Pic needs some work, I'm gonna tweek it in Photoshop right now because when I finished this at like 2 AM I was too tired to check for problems. XD
