What's to argue? It was clearly shown that it's the same shack the War Doctor returns to to set off his doomsday weapon which was on Galifrey.

And has any other planets in the Time Lord Empire even been referenced in the TV series?

In old who, the only other planet was Shada but I don't know if that's in continuity or what. If anything the time lord empire was a creation of Davies. People are saying that the war doctor wasn't on galifrey when he used the moment (despite the fact that we were given the impression that it was galifrey and for the moment to work it would have to be there). As for how they got there, I think it was the fact that all the safety limits were off, and Clara was linked to the tardis, after all the cloister bells were ringing.

Let's just put it down to poopy writing by Moffatt.

-edit-
Caught it on the first viewing but wanted to catch it again on the second viewing.

When Clara returns to the restaurant, Danny has his head on the table, as he straightens up you hear the clockwork sound.

Missed that, what was it?

Anyways, this episode really struck it home for this season, so far, at least, it is my favorite Capaldi episode. Moffat channeled his inner horror-writer again with the creepy thing-under-the-blanket.

I'm really getting into this series of Dr Who and Cipaldi is shaping up to be one of my favourite ever Doctors if he carries on in this form.

Listen was a fantastic episode and I particularly enjoyed how much we learn about the Doctor's past as a child. It's strongly implied that the Doctor is in whatever the Gallifreyan equivalent is to a children's home, that he doesn't want to be a soldier but somebody certainly wants him to be and that he'll never get to go to the Academy and become a Time Lord.

The rest of the episode, particularly the figure on the bed, was pretty damn creepy.

Loved it.

The easter egg was a blink-and-you-miss-it thing. When they are looking at the mug shots on the wall, one of them was Ablsomm Daak, better known as dalek killer. He was the one who looked like he had stepped out of 2000A.D. Created by the doctor who magazine for their comic strips, and he became very popular.

A word about the TARDIS landing on Gallifrey and visiting the Doctor as a child despite it being 'lost'. I don't think it's Gallifrey. I rewatched the 50th anniversay episode and it distinctly shows the TARDIS travelling to and from Gallifrey to get to the shack where the War Doctor unleashes the Moment.

This is best shown when the various Doctors 'save' the Time Lords - the TARDIS approaches Gallifrey from space not from the surface.

I'm not convinced that he's in the actual ep, so it was a long article to explain a cool secret. Having said that though it would be fun to get him in the show for real.

Exactly.

I loved this episode, one of my faves of the entire run of the reboot. That thing on the bed was really great, and I liked the "listen" part.

I hope this stuff gets brought up again in following episodes. I really need more of that.

Tonights ep was great, didn't have the goings on as last weeks episode but told a nice little story. There was no connections to any of the current on going mysteries (unless you count the Clara-Danny relationships). The first twist I saw coming, the second and third I didn't. Also Clara was less annoying this week, less her trying to out doctor the doctor.

Seemed a little flat to me. Very much enjoying Capaldi, but the stories are just a bit on the meh side.

I think I had figured out who The Architect was about halfway through. Not my favourite new ep, but it certainly wasn't a bad one.

Agreed, the plot was not really very solid, pretty predictable, I was hoping for there to be more...drama? The collapsed brain-soup thing was pretty silly. The Teller was scary, but not like some monsters have been (The Minotaur in The God Complex).

I did like the line about his eyebrows, seems Twelve's physical joke will be his eyebrows (similar to Eleven's chin).

Looking back I don't think the teller was supposed to be scary, just misunderstood. I like the eyebrow joke though.

Summary for Kill the Moon is up!

In the near future, the Doctor and Clara find themselves on a space shuttle, making a suicide mission to the Moon.

Crash-landing on the lunar surface, they find a mining base full of corpses, vicious spider-like creatures poised to attack, and a terrible dilemma.

When Clara turns to the Doctor for help, she gets the shock of her life.

Sounds a bit Green Death and Planet of the Spiders. It'd be cool if the Eight Legs made a comeback, especially with the little reference in Hide with the Metebelis crystal.

Quite enjoyed that episode, very light hearted, Capaldi truly excelled and I really am enjoying his turn as the Doctor.

More eyebrow references! And we finally get back to see Missy, albeit briefly.

I know a lot of people get annoyed with Clara, but damn if she isn't cute.

Haven't seen the episode yet, but I have to agree, forgetting that she's really beautiful, the character of Clara is freaking adorable. I mean, her looks add to it, but I just love the way she chirps out any questions or the wonderful looks she can give, especially when she's bossing the Doctor around.

I mean, I really liked Amy and Rory, but Clara, despite being set up as the Best Companion Ever, is a really enjoyable character.

Well this episode was stupid, and not all to enjoyable.

At least the next episode looks interesting and fun.

I enjoyed it, felt it was one of Capaldi's best. Enjoyed Courtney as well, she adds that young sass while also giving the Doctor a reason to not be such a grumpy old man.

As for Clara ... I've always liked Clara, but after her outburst, good riddance to her (yeah I know she'll be back). She was wrong, plain and simple.

How so? The Doctor told her to choose either a nuclear death for herself, two others, and a one-of-a-kind creature, or the death of all humanity. Then he bailed on her, just because he didn't want to make the call. You'd have to be a total saint to forgive someone for pulling **** like that.

As for the episode...total cop-out resolution. "Hey look, it laid another moon-egg, off-screen, the exact mass of the previous moon. That's damn convenient."

Wasn't his planet. Wasn't his decision.

The start of the season saw him talking about how he's made mistakes and needs to fix them, this could be one of those times where he's letting others make a decision he has no right to be involved in.

Or he knew what the outcome would be (grey areas be damned) and pushed her to "take the stabilisers off"

Or it could just be more poopy writing and Clara will come back and the issue will never be addressed.

Really enjoyed that episode. Especially when Clara ripped the Doctor a new one. I'm sorry, maybe it's just my tendency towards the 11th Doctor, but I love having this Doctor being chewed out for his mistakes. I just find myself wanting to punch him whenever he comes into a scene. It's very aggravating. He's the Doctor, a good man, a hero. And yet, here, with #12, he's detached, impatient, keeps calling humans stupid, and makes far to many mistakes. Look at any of the other Doctors, they loved humans. I quote: "You are the only mystery worth solving." - #11.
