So what has been done? I haven't seen Hot Rod properly yet, so I don't know what it's like in the first place.

took out the screw holding the top together, rounded the hindge, cut out some black plastic and notched the notched the canopy for the motor, wasnt that hard, did most of it with an exacto-knife.

Looks pretty good. The only thing I don’t like is the color of the interior.

I based his interior from in the movie, the green may not be perfect but thats leather brown seats (says so on the bottle).

I don’t remember his interior being green and brown in the movie,I remember it being black (or the animation equivalent of the time), but I will have to check. I’m just saying it doesn’t fit with the rest of him.

I thought that might be what you'd done. Nice job; if I get hold of him (which I intend to if I ever see him), I'll be doing that one.
Must admit though, while I like the leather seats, I agree with Tramp about the green; I think I'd redo that black or really dark grey. Is that the colour as it comes?

Well, I just checked about 40 pages of screencaptiures from the movie, and PF is correct about the green and brown interior for Hot rod. Regardless, it is still a poor choice of color. Black, or even all brown, would look ten times better. Whoever did his interior design had awful taste.

agreed bad choice but regardless these guys are G1 Classics, so I figured since every one customizing Megs ins Going G1 Silver I'd give Rodmus his due. And Since Rodimus is already pretty G1 as it is I figured "eh, yah its fugly but I'll make it Hot Rod regardless of taste."

Well, I don’t think Hot Rod would mind a little updating in the interior by getting rid of the green. He’d probably think it an improvement. 8) :D

Finally had the guts to do this :tfgrin I actually painted the collar orange but it didn't look right so I had to revert back to red. Might mod it further following Primus-feather's mod (If I can get the pin out :tftongue)

Here's Hot Rod holding is soon to be new gun. It will look similar to Alt. Grimlock's gun.

Closer look of Starscream. Updated from the last time I posted it.

Motto: "Vampires don't *sparkle*. They burn!"
This is concerning the Classics tank Megs from the vs. two-pack.
Not sure if this problem was unique to the Megatron I pulled:
According to the tranformation instructions, his feet are not supposed to protrude in alt mode, but with the feet attached like the art on the box, they won't fold in as instructed.
Simple mod: I took the screws out from each leg, took off the feet, then swapped them. They no longer stick out in alt mode just like it is indicated in the instructions.
This is the way his feet are supposed to be attached.

why not wait for ramjet for the purposely designed cone head and make life easiar? or is there a reason behind the madness so to speak?

It's a WIP for a reason...

That's just the placement head....it can easily be switched and painted later.

It's the body you should focus on.

Interesting use of the stock wings...Good work!

Would you be willing to share the tricks to popping out the pins (as in which direction). I THINK the arm pins anchor on the flush side. Also, cannot figure out which way the front cockpit pin pushes out and the arm/shoulder pivot hinge pin looks tricky.

Also, I am tempted to pull those pins that hold the rear wing to the thruster and the main wing pin but I see no way to get a grip on them to pull.

I hope to have all 8 seekers done by spring.

Have you checked out the methods for pin removal in the Articals section on the main site?

Lobo did a nice guide.

Anyhoo, try working with a Sodering Iron. Just heat the pin till you can pull it out or threw. If it pulls threw the part then just heat the pin up and then pull.

Yes I did read the guide but I am having a hard time distinguishing rough holes from smooth holes.

Thanks and looking forward to your version of Thrust.

Yup, I heard about that.

Hmmm... I like the colors. Maybe you could consider replacing the silver frames on the cockpit in that same copper color as the wings.

Did you know that the original version of this had the smaller wings farther forward? I saw a recent article on AllSpark about it. all of the jets were altered for safety reasons. most of them just had the wings go farther forward where it meets the body, but it ends up being too pointy.

From my experience, the rough end is usually flush or slightly raised from the surface of the hole while the smooth end in recessed slightly.
