Why do you keep talking to Sabrblade when you're clearly trying to refute a point I made?

That said, Reedman wasn't an Insecticon.

None of this matters. None of this has anything to do with the topic at hand and it forms more than a third of your post. Do you ever think about that? We have threads for pro wrestling, we have threads for Mass Effect, but this is a thread for TF: Prime. So focus on the topic at hand.

Shadowman said that, not me! He said that to you. I did not.

BTW, those little marble things Ravage released weren't Insecticons. They were Microcons. The combined form was a Decepticon named Reedman.

But, there was an Insecticon later in ROTF, but it was this thing:

Anyone find Rodimus' run-along sentences eye-straining? @_@

Anyway, although a swarm of Insecticons would be cool, the other possibility of "vermin" Arcee speaks of is the Scraplets. We've seen them a bit in the previews.

Well, for starters, we've already seen what the "vermin" looks like. Scraplets are a bit improbable. Considering they've had millions of years alone on Cybertron, there's an awful lot of buildings intact if they were involved. Plus, considering how terrified Bulkhead, Ratchet, and Bumblebee were of Scraplets, you'd think Arcee would talk about it with a bit more worry.

Much like Earth has plenty of different types of vermin, I'm sure Cybertron has more than one. It'd be like anywhere else that is abandoned for a long period of time. Mice, rats, opposums, spiders, etc. all move in and start to take over when a place is undisturbed by humans for a long period of time. I would guess Scraplets and Insecticon swarms are only two of many different types of "wild life" that would begin to reclaim the surface of Cybertron.

Yeah, but millions of years on an entirely-metal planet with no supervision? The Scraplets would have devoured everything.

Do the scraplets simply eat ANY metal or is it just like living metal, like Cybertronians and the robotic wildlife? Or maybe they prefer it? That would explain why there's very little "life" and plenty of landscape.

They eat non-living metal, too. In the last episode with them they were shown chewing through parts of the base, to the point the Ground Bridge wouldn't start.

That episode was awesome!!!! Hmmm, let's see.....

1. The Insecticon.
2. Vector Sigma (the walkway reminded me of the Beast Machines Vector Sigma).
3. Ratchet getting some fight-time.
4. The Vehicons stomping Optimus. Until he......yeah.
5. The "darkest hour" comment by Ratchet.

I could go on and on!

Well, crap, that's not really how I was hoping it would go. The ending kind of disproves that whole "Optimus will get his memories back, but indirectly" idea. And I was really hoping Vector Sigma would use its catchphrase. Otherwise, it was a really awesome episode.

Also, I really liked how one of Optimus' blades was still broken after his last fight with Megatron.

Next week, Operation Bumblebee. And since the preview clearly showed MECH, I'm guessing it's going to go similar to Operation Breakdown.

I'm sensing a theme here...

I was hoping for the Swarm, but I'll take one big ass Insecticon that turns into an awesome Rhinoceros Beetle. I also went "Gah!" when he transformed.

Cute or not, I think Scraplets are about the most terrifying anything ever. Sweet jebus, when they open their mouths... *shudder*

Gotta love it when Megatron nails OP with the "Barf Punch". Very painful looking.

Episode 29 -

There's a secret entrance underneath Kaon that leads to Vector Sigma.

That Insecticon is totally a wild animal and not a character. Well, okay, it's at least semi-sentient, but still.

Nice going, Megatron. Threatening your clerk will surely make him regain your trust.

There are Scraplets on Cybertron.

I am so glad the Key to Vector Sigma grew back to its regular size once Jack inserted into Vector Sigma's console. BTW, Vector Sigma looks only vaguely similar to G1 Vector Sigma. Instead of looking like a giant golden Spaceship Earth from Disney's Epcot theme park, Prime Vector Sigma is a giant glowing white orb with four planetary rings wrapped around it and constantly in motion.

Hey, if he Scraplets eat through Vector Sigma's console, then that will stop Jack form downloading the Wisdom of the Primes, and thus prevent the Autobots from restoring Optimus' memories. A blessing in disguise. ;)

Bulkhead: "You're going down, Buckethead!" - Ah, what ideal trash talk to be used against Megatron. Also, Bulkhead sure has a tendecy to launch himself at Megatron in the show.

Jack grabs a Scraplet, throws it at the Insecticon, and presumes to let it get eaten alive by al the little buggers. Dude is a boss. 8)

Death by Scraplets. Not a pretty sight.

Orion still has his guns!

No... don't, Jack. Don't do it. Don't bring back Stoicmus.

No... no... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! :BOOM: :BOOM: :BOOM:

He's back! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :BANG_HEAD: :BANG_HEAD: :BANG_HEAD:

I don't care how good a fighter he is, he's a terrible character! :-x :-x :-x

He doesn't even remember having been Orion Pax these past few episodes. Way to stomp all over this arc like it was nothing at all!

What a shabby crock of an ending. Predictable, unimaginative, unnecessary, and kissing up to status quo. This three-part arc was going really well until it was all completely undone by the climax. >:oP

:KREMZEEK: Awesome Episode! :KREMZEEK:
Okay so it didn't end just the way I wanted it to... :-( But the rest of the 30 min was sooooooo worth it.

I espically like the scene where Jack pitches the Scraplet at the Insecticon.... :APPLAUSE: Brillent move! :PACMAN:

The scene where Jack restores Optimus + the scenes where Ops leaps through the closing ground-bridge were simply epic.

June graduated from helicopter Mom to darn near Sparta Mom. In the scene where she tells Jack to keep on I nearly expected her to tell him to come back with his shield or on it!

That dawning moment of comprehension, when Megatron realized that it was Jack and not Arcee who carried the matrix. This does NOT bode well for Jack. He has all ready earned a place on the King Con's list. Bringing back his ultimate enemy probably bumped him up several slots.

Saberblade?
I feel your pain... :BANG_HEAD: I too was hoping for a more gradual return...
But don't lose hope ;)
This show has proven it has more than decent writers. Perhaps they will play it in the other direction. Instead of Orion Pax becoming more of a Prime, Optimus might grow himself. They've already depicted Arcee and Ratchet character growth due to interactions with the humans. Maybe the near death type experience will inspire the Prime to loosen up a bit, after all, now he has someone to talk to who understands the responsibility of being a Matrix bearer ;)
