They wouldn't be un-defeatable if the cons managed to get a hold of something like the spark extractor, it'd be more of a stale mate. Hopefully there's some kind of epic ending to the season, like a raid on the cons ship in the sky, where they can put all the different relics to use. I feel like they should've saved Unicron til later, when they could use all these things. Of course, they wouldn't have them without the Orion Pax thing in the first place.

I don't know if it would be as simple as that. even with the matrix to guide him it doesn't guarantee that optimus would be able to create anything with it.....though on the other hand hey a big hammer.........hulktimus smash!!!!!!!!!!

edit: on further consideration I don't think optimus could create anything, he just doesn't strike me as the scientist/creative/artistic type. even if say ratchet or wheeljack made the plans/blueprint I just don't think prime has what it takes to be a creator.....he's more of a breaker.

To my understanding, it creates anything you want it to from anything else. So really, your mind isnt needed much, or so I think. I also like to think that, While they are alive, they are all still machines. That being the case, they all have a simalar understanding on how certain things work, the Forge, for example, is known to all of them as a giant hammer that can create anything that they want or need.

i just dont get why they arent smart enough to have asked the big question yet. Why are all these relics here!?

I get the whole "Hiding things on other planets" aspect, but come on! there has got to be more to it than that if all these powerful relics are on one planet!

Like Shadowman said earlier in this thread, I think Unicron is pulling them here to earth.

but rc is cybertronian technology. if as you think their onboard computers are more user friendly wouldn't it have a schematic of her own alt form? so wouldn't she be able to see how the engine was assembled? so she should have been able to help jack. though I'll admit she could have just wanted the meatbag to fail.

Well, see the problem here is this:
When they turn into these things, it's just a disguise. It looks and sounds the part. Whenever they are busted in battle, Ratchet repairs them, not a mechanic.

My point is, how much of that disguise do you think is actually real parts of real cars and trucks and stuff? I say, in actuality, none of it. There is no way those cars and trucks could, in their regular, un cybertronian modes, take the beatings they do as autobots, yet, as autobots, they can.

It's just a disguise. Nothing more.

Arcee is cybertronion biology. Cybertronion technology refers to things such as their weaponry, bridging, computing, communication, etc.

Not even transformation is technology, for the T-cog within every transformer is an organ, like a kidney. And this organ is biology. Transformation is part of the cybertronion transformers.

they are still made out of whatever, rc in this instance, the bots are made out of. plus who knows what they have going on structual integrity wise.

The thing is, what they transform into is supposed to resemble a vehicle, not be that vehicle precisely. Indeed, it is just a disguise.

Dude, Megatron tried to use it to make a superweapon, and he's even less of a Bill Nye the Science Guy than Optimus is. If the Forge could work for anyone, Megs would have successfully made a weapon out of scrap metal despite his lack of tech smarts/skills.

Still no news on Episode 16 no title description or plot of the episode.

My Original guess is still around August for episode 16 to return I have been right before but I have also been wrong on many occasions but no one is perfect.

Has me worried with the long breaks. But understandable since CGI is expensive and time consuming.

It takes about 5 or so months just to make a few episodes mainly Prime was scheduled to take a couple of years to make cause of the CGI but instead they choose to make a few episodes every few months.

If you noticed on Primes Breakes well before it goes on breaks they show a certain number of episodes usually about 5 to 6 episodes then it does it break deal routine.

I still stand by my August Airdate for Episode 16. Even wierder that nothing is being said on other sites not even on here concerning episode 16.

Just toys, comics or Comic-Con or the conventions and stuff on Peter Cullen and others showing thier.

Toys are cool, comics are ok, Cullen is legendary but were is my Prime Episode 16.

Who will voice Shockwave I say why not use Shockwave's VA from either Animated or his DOTM VA.

Another big question on Prime will Ultra Magnus be in it we know Utlra has a toy in the Prime line then so does Skywarp the deal is with toys just cause they have toys dosent mean they will necessarily be on the Show.

Still sucks no news on Episode 16.

Fall is Q3rd learned the deal cause of my games are based on Fall or Qrt releases Q3rd means around October maybe September.

If it is going to be around that late that means they should show all the remaining episodes of season 2 all at once without another break.

10 Episodes remain in Season 2 season 2 will have 26 episodes unknown on how many season 3 will have.

But that would be cool if Skywarp or Ultramagnus would be on Prime although I wouldnt want Skywarp to be anything like Starscream or either in his looks the toy of Skywarp was awesome and menacing he looks nothing like his G1 Counterpart. Then again nothing in Prime does all they share in common are thier names.

That would mean Shockwave and Ultra Magnus would be totally diffrent from anything we have seen in previous shows.

Prime has been off for almost 3 months now

Diffrent VAs, Diffrent Looks, Diffrent Personalties, and Diffrent Alt. Modes.

Like I said I am all up for new changes new ideas I like the new. But new must be done right and it must fit in.

Sort of how the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series is doing it is the same then again it isnt such as it is with Prime new looks and a new attitude such as a Tennager April O Niel and Younger Splinter.

Me I cant wait to see Shockwave on Prime how will he be used, what will his role be and who will be his VA. A Transformers Veteran we know, someone from the movie-verse or someone we didnt expect such as Tony Todd doing Dreadwing.

Well guess I am off until Sept-Oct my guess we should hear someting around late August.

Probably another 26, what with the pattern they got going.

If Skywarp does show up, he probably won't look like his Japanese toy for two reasons:
  • The Japanese toy was made by Takara without input from Hasbro, so if it wasn't Hasbro's idea, then it probably won't be reflected in the show since Hasbro themselves are the ones making the show.
  • The show's creators have stated that the reason they have not already introduced Skywarp (and Thundercracker) is becuase they want to keep Starscream as unique as possible. And if they were to bring in those two later, they'd probably have their own designs that look different from Starscream's.

From what we saw in his Hall of Fame video at BotCon, Prime Shockwave does look very much like G1 Shockwave.

Well, we do know that Shockwave will at least be seen in a flashback of some kind, as the Hall of Fame video showed him being introduced to Arcee and Cliffjumper by Starscream.

As for who should voice him, I want Steve Blum to voice him for the following reasons:

1. He voiced Shockwave in both War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron.
2. He's already a regular cast member on the show, so he's readily available and they wouldn't have to pay extra for another new guy.
3. There have been more and more attmepts to better connect the two time periods of the past (games/novels) and the present (cartoons) together, and what better way to do that than to use the same character's voice actor from both mediums? ;)

Your final statement is invalid. They don't just share names from G1. They also share;

Personalities (Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave, Optimus)

Paint schemes (Optimus, Bee, Ratchet, Megatron, Dreadwing, Skyquake, Breakdown)

Phsyical Homages (Ratchet's head crest, Breakdown's red face and yellow eyes, Megatron's fusion cannon, etc.)

Voice Actors (Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime, Frank Welker as Megatron)

And others I probably failed to mention. Point being, the whole Aligned continuity is a homage in the long run. It's all the past continuities, taking bits and pieces from each one, and aligning them into one continuity. I'm pretty sure the name is rather self-explanitory.

Not necessarily. He could still remain a loyal servant to Megatron. Not everyone has to have an original surprise twist in character.

He means that Fall is "3rd Quarter" for year-based product releases. To say that something comes out in the "3rd Quarter" is to say that it comes out in the Fall.

Not when there are still those who think it's a literal blending of all continuities into one complete timeline, rather than just bits and pieces taken from each (trust me, these people exist, though their opinions on such an idea vary greatly).

Shockwave was only a loyal servant in the G1 cartoon. In nearly all other G1 continuities, Shockwave is an ambitious, calculating authority figure and rival to Megatron, who seizes power and control because logic dictates that he must, and to do otherwise would be illogical.

Ah, yes, I recall that he serves some dude named Logic. I wonder if we'll ever see him in the Transformers Franchise. :lol:

I'd also love for Shockwave, when Megatron is seized, to take over the Decepticons as he did once before. Hehe, the Logicons.

While we do know that Aligned Shockwave does indeed abide by logic, he seems less the power hungry type and more invested in morally ambiguous scientific experimentation. Still, though Megatron distrusts him, Megs did make Shockwave his second-in-command originally, so ya never know. ;)

Eh, I'd much prefer someone else do it. Steve Blum is an awesome voice actor, but tell it's him pretty quickly. It'd be better for Shockwave to have a more unique voice to avoid the risk of sounding too much like Starscream.

He's talented enough to make the two voices distinct enough.

So far they've been good about one character, one actor, except for bit parts. If Shockwave's going to be a recurring character (which, admittedly, is not known), he'll get a dedicated VA.
