Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Arctorro wrote:Good ideas on the alt modes, a drill tank would probably be a given if the Technobots are really going to happen next year. Can't be that many repaint/retool options there.

Starting to ponder taking a stab at my first custom paint job.
Why not customise this... thing... into Optimus's decaying corpse found on a riverbank? Paint him as if he was rotting and add a fistfull of rubber worms and bugs for effect!
I'd swear that there was a mention of the Technobots at some point, that's why I mentioned them. Hope they are done.Nemesis Primal wrote:Arctorro wrote:Good ideas on the alt modes, a drill tank would probably be a given if the Technobots are really going to happen next year. I just remembered something. Hasbro doesn't usually let Fun Pub do things as club exclusives if there's an impending official release that covers the same/similar ground, right? So with them offering up an Afterburner (albeit a non-transforming one), I'm not sure the Technobots are on Hasbro's list.
Just makes me think of 'a terrifying mass of interconnected augers that looks like it chewed its way out of hell' showing up, scaring the crap out of everyone and saying, "Don't worry Humans, I'm here to save you. Continue to cower in fear!Nemesis Primal wrote:Arctorro wrote:For an Autobot?Nemesis Primal wrote:I guess that's kinda why I want it to look like the real thing, because it'd be something you don't see anywhere, especially in Hollywood. Why not? There's been Autobots with unfriendly-looking alt-modes before, though admittedly most are beast modes rather than vehicle.

Though I do bet we'll get afterburner though, after all, takara need something to retool into Groove for their Defensor

I never take these kinds of announcements as fact, always wait for official confirmation before getting excited.Nemesis Primal wrote:Hope is reasonable, I'm just saying I wouldn't take it as a solid fact just yet
Sure the Dinobots would be a little scary, but they still don't have the 'hell' look to them I can understand wanting something that looks rougher than Nosecone though! The Technobots never really looked overly tough.Nemesis Primal wrote:What kind of reaction do you think the Dinobots get?
Okay, "chewed its way out of hell" may have been a bit of an exaggeration, but still, rougher-looking than Nosecone.

Oh, such wishful thinking.

I've always been a bit 'meh' towards the movies. Watch em every once in a while for something different, but AoE sunk to new levels of SH**! I don't ever consider the movies when thinking about the TF franchise, they don't deserve it IM(NotSo)HO.Nemesis Primal wrote:Arctorro wrote:I never take these kinds of announcements as fact, always wait for official confirmation before getting excited.Nemesis Primal wrote:Hope is reasonable, I'm just saying I wouldn't take it as a solid fact just yet
I think that's probably the right approach.Arctorro wrote:Sure the Dinobots would be a little scary, but they still don't have the 'hell' look to them I can understand wanting something that looks rougher than Nosecone though! The movieverse Dinobots sorta do, but I'd rather not talk about Age of Extinction. Just siting through it depressed me.

And my personal favorite, Deadheat

I could DEFINITELY get behind some Quintessons and junk.Seibertron wrote:Quintessons would be high on my list of figures I'd like official versions of so I can get rid of my 3rd party ones. Generations versions of Alicon and the Sharkticons would also be great. The Quintessons could be part of the human/accessory line as well.
That's a cool idea. Though I wonder if making an Autobot Spike were achievable within the Hero Masher line?Seibertron wrote:Going further with my idea above ... what if they did build-a-figures with this? Who wouldn't like a Chaos BAF from the 3rd season of G1 to go with Kup, Grimlock and Wheelie? Or a giant Kremzeek BAF? How about Autobot Spike BAF??? C'mon! This would be a fun line to have.
