I think an easier question would be which Movieverse Decepticons don't look ugly?

Though, when it comes to bad guys in general, there tends to be two kinds of ugliness. Cool ugly and awful ugly. Cool ugly is when the character's ugliness is fitting or beneficial to selling the character, helping them to look intimidating or just overall cool-looking, sometimes even to the point of "so ugly it's beautiful/gorgeous/handsome/etc." Awful ugly is when the ugliness is just too much to bear and ends up being a turnoff for the viewers, sometimes even to the point of being gross out disgusting or nightmarishly scary to look at.

It depends on your definition of "ugly".
There's Transquito, that mosquito/obscure arachnid/vomiting man who's neutral stance is, well, vomiting:

But he's intentionally ugly. And, as you could probably tell as I also own a pukin' toucan, I adore this kind of ugly.
Same goes for guys like Prime Dead End, Injector, Blot, etc..

But then there's the other kind of ugly, the unintentional or even "uncanny valley" kind, where they were trying to go for something but messed up somewhere along the line and tried fixing it but made things even worse, or else they had a very strange concept of 'appealing'.
Nightscream would top this for me, followed closely by the other BM Maximals.

Personally, since the toys came first (like by a year or so) and the cartoon later, not to mention the show required them to be humanoid, the "show-accuracy" argument should be rendered invalid. >:oP

Here's my nomination for ugliest: the G2 Power Masters. Look them up, think of the Cyberjets and Laser Rods released in the same year as they were... Yeah... :BANG_HEAD:

Yeah, if anything, it was the cartoon artists who either dropped the ball, or were told to change the robot designs. In the 1st issue of the Marvel comics, on the introductory dual-page space, Ratchet and Ironhide are both drawn as their toy version robot modes. Of course, this was changed right away, in issue #2, I believe. I don't think it's a coincidence that they were changed in both the comic and cartoon, but seeing as how the comic came 1st, perhaps the cartoon artists were just following the comic artist and editor's lead.

I was actually considering them ugly based on only themselves as toys. They are just so strange in their style and design. There is a little bitty body with a ginormous windshield and a little square face behind it. And then he stands on his weird little battle platform. That toy is just the weirdest thing ever.

Well, the toy wasn't originally meant to be viewed as a living robotic organism. It was designed to be a human-operated mech machine for the Diaclone line.

I know. It doesn't change the fact that it is dog ugly. It is an ugly toy that is only moderately fun to play with.

I know. It doesn't change the fact that it is dog ugly. It is an ugly toy that is only moderately fun to play with.

True, the Diaclone was more of a glorified exosuit than a robot. It even had a proper seat for the pilot (where the "robot face" would end up)!
