I just found out that you can fold up the knee pads on WFC Optimus Prime. I'm pretty sure everyone knew this but I certainly didn't.

That the Energon Tank Combiner mold, the one making ROTF Brawl, has 2 rotation Joints for the turret, One to get normal rotation and one to get it down so the back doesn't hang over. Very few people seem to know.

I actuallu only opened my Bruticus Maximus set today (to prepare him for the FansProject add ons), and one of the first things I noticed was the fact that with the tanks, the turrets on the photo's were set further forward than the actual tanks in the box. Several options passed my mind, like it was just an optical illusion, it was due to a mold / design change and even that it had been put together wrong in the factory. Still, the instructions and other photo's on the 'net seemed to make pretty clear that the turrets could move forward and hide the legs more.
So I kept looking at them, but man, that swivel is so well hidden and also unobvious in the instructions, I was actually thinking of taking a screwdriver to it. Luckily, I finally found it just before I was going to dismantle the tanks.
In the recently featured fan review for the FP add ons, which I also checked out today, I could see that that guy hadn't found the extra swivel either! And it really does improve Brawl and Blast Off.

Throttler has a rotate joint in his stomach!

the front half of his bot mode torso can turn both directions. he can't spin freely, but that seems to be the purpose of this joint.

Yep, and be careful with it. My Brawl works okay but Blast Off's is super duper tight. I ended up breaking it but luckily glue it back without affecting any transformation and robot mode. Blast Off is now my son's who doesn't care about the position of the guns, and very soon I can replace Bruticus's missing arm with the Crossfire set.

you can actually extend his legs a few millimeters to make him a bit taller.

i found out the armada rerelease of optimus with the minicon slot,has flaps on his hips that fold down and make him less of a brick

Just to be clear, do you mean "bendy" Prime or the big Armada Prime? And if the big one, do you mean in small robot more or big robot mode?

I had ravage for a month before i realized you can turn him into somehting that looks a little like laserbeak. I also just realised you can mount WFC optimus's gun over his shoulder.

IMO that Laserbeak mode is terrible.

Thank you! I just picked this guy up today and came back to the thread when I couldn't find out where to stick the gun. ....No, I didn't read the instructions either; I find more stuff that way, LOL, even if I miss a gimmick here or there.

*just looked at the instructions since the box is still out* Yea, it's "there" but the image is a bit off... It shows symmetrical pegs on both sides of the rear of the car. o.O

Not much to contribut to the thread...someone mentioned movie deluxe Ratchet's thumbs moving - didn't mention you can move the thumb even more on the hand with the axe if you unclick the axe out a little bit.

Any other discoveries I've long since forgotten about.

MP Grimlock has a door of some kind on his back, similar to the G1. You can place his gun there in alt mode to use as a cannon. No pics yet, sorry.

I just discovered that Battle Blade Bumblebee has a waist joint.

That Scalpel's glasses come off.

I was pulling out some of my old Armada toys, and saw Megatron. Maybe I knew this back when I got him, but I totally forgot all his features (been nearly 10 years!). I was holding him by his arms when I accidently pushed up a peg and then BAM! "BATTLE SHANK"! I loved it! Sure... its small in a toy line filled with nothing but oversized weapons and guns, but I'll be damned if this weapon alone doesn't make Armada Megatron the most prison ready action figure out there. This makes up for his colostomy-style canon.

Don't have my cam handy, sorry, but it opens just like G1 Grimlock's, if you happen to have him. Just dig a fingernail in at the front edge of that panel and it flips open to the rear. The back of his gun sort of fits into the inside of the opened panel, and the "ammo clip" part of the gun wedges inbehind a bit of surface detail. It's pretty secure, but I don't think it was actually designed that way.

I'll get some pics tomorrow, HTH for now.

The door/panel on MP Grimlock is there in homage of the one on G1 Grimlock, which was a seat for a microman figure in the very original pre-TF release, IIRC.

Diaclone had Inchman, not Microman. And I'm assuming you mean the heels on Bumblebee.
