I have him and for me, he's the defenitive Omega Supreme. No regrets for the 120$ he cost me.
Really.
He's like 300-400$ on Ebay right now!
For real? Damn! At that point you might as well buy PX's OS. Say Kan... did you buy MT's Armageddon upgrade kit? I have all intentions to, just havent gotten around to it >:oP

I missed my chance for that Omega Supreme, I was only collecting FOC style at the time, and it wasn't close enough.. Was trying to save for Genesis but ended up thinking better of it

No, I will NEVER buy that upgrade kit. For starter, it's like 200$ shipped. Second, it's only good for a kick-ass base mode. I prefer my Omega in bot mode, and the kit only give the bot kibbles and that's it. So, not enough bangs for my bucks.

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't consider Energon redecos to count as Generations figures. I also don't particularly like Energon OS. Not as G1 OS anyway, on his own he's probably fine, not that I have that mold anyway. Not saying people can't use it as a stand in if they want, but that shouldn't keep the big guy off a list of Gen figures not made yet. Because a Gen Omega Supreme hasn't been made yet.

Ha! only for us Canadians you mean ;)
I won't deny it's too expensive for a second. But to give him his proper cannon hand and train track wings, I'm willing to bite (eventually).

Everyone's standards are different. The mold might be simple and not exactly what it needs to be, but I was a big fan of the original (and sentinel repaint). So I was pretty happy when I saw the YOTS repaint, especially with remolding!

Might not be Gen 1 Omega Supreme, but the remoulded parts and new colours did give off a pretty decent representation of FOC Omega... It's not like we haven't had other -verse figures remoulded for Classics - Chromia is a pretty good example

So here is a proper list from me.

5) Sunstreaker. Yeah, yeah, I know we already got one, but I'm talking about a proper Streaker. Not just a turned around Sideswipe.

4) Optimus Primal. While the original toy is great, I feel there is plenty of potential there.

3) reflector. Need I say more?

2) Cheetor. I would like to see a better design. It's the 20 year anniversary next year. Should be a no brainer.

1) Dinobot. This guy gave his life, twice, for the better good. How can you not want to give him some update love.

I'd have added some beast machines characters, but let's let the bad past stay in the past.

Titan Omega Supreme is on my list too - I wonder if Devastator was designed as a Titan so that his nemesis would be too?

I've recently put Rotorstorm on my want-list. A Generations figure would be awesome, but he needs to be his own guy.

How about they just do a Wreckers subline?? that would be freakin amazing though it never will happen...

I thought along those lines and so did others, hence why I made sure to mention him at the end of my article :)

Although, here's a question for you all: what would a Generations Titan Class Omega Supreme look like?

Would he turns into a rocketship base with a tank on rails? If so how could Hasbro and Takara pull it off without it being a partformer like G1?

That'd be great, only problem is that we've got a good deal of the Wreckers already, if we got Rotorstorm it'll probably be part of a Turbomaster group, maybe even a Botcon/TFCC Combining group, so he'll end up as an Alpha Brave repaint...

Right there with you on the Titan Omega Supreme, however, don't be greedy with it, Metroplex is lonely and needs Titan Trypticon first :P

Oh I understood. I was just replying to Optimum Supreme to let him know that all was well and that Omega Supreme was not forgotten after all :) While some characters are easy to distinguish whether or not they got a Classics Update (like Brawn and Beachcomber (don't know what Shockblast was smoking)), it gets into a very grey area when looking at exclusives and special editions and wondering if they are classic reinterpretations, if they count as an update or if they don't. And I don't just mean count for my list, but also for Hasbro. If it is accepted generally that Platinum Omega Supreme is generations Omega Supreme, by them, then he might not get a further treatment or update. And while these lists are for fun and discussion, they are also there for Hasbro to take notice of the needs of fans in an easier more organized way, all under a thread with an easy searchable title.

But it seems the rule are all up in the air now. Because even though we never got a Skylynx, we are getting tons of Onslaughts and a new Wheeljack and a bunch of repeating characters. So I don't know. I was also wondering at what point FOC characters count as updates. But both the Soundwave design and the Seeker design has made it into the comics which are an extension of G1, making the FOC designs "classics" as well. Does that mean FOC shockwave is "classics" shockwave? It can be very confusing.

While that has happened, I present to the court: Springer. He got 3 pseudo updates from Botcon, Asia, and store exclusives, and then way out of left field BAM! We get smacked with the masterpiece that is Generations Springer. So I'm hopeful ;)

william-james88 wrote:Does that mean FOC shockwave is "classics" shockwave? It can be very confusing.
Yeah. That definitely clouds the issue. I'm sure there's many people out there with all sorts of figures shoehorned into otherwise empty spots. I currently have Cloud Shockwave filling the role, but I'm STILL waiting for something good enough to call a C/G Soundwave.

Same here, but then again, Hasbro did go all out trying to recreate the eject gimmick and updating the alt mode of the cassettes. Maybe we are entering a new era where Classics is no longer about updating alt modes but recreating the G1 aesthetic, like it is doing with CW Megatron, Ultra Magnus and some combiners. And their Whirl was way more G1 than IDW and the alt mode wasnt updated at all. And Devastator seems to be going around that route of Generations simply being G1 today. I would love to just sit down with a hasbro rep and learn their logic. It's probably case by case, as we learnt from the deal with Arcee (props to Takara by the way!).

And speaking of whirl, that Cloud version he is also my Classics Shockwave. The tall and lanky form adds to the creepiness of this mad scientist and that headsculpt was just waiting to be repainted purple. Some people so use BH Shockwave which I also understand perfectly well. That guy is BROAD!

FOC releases are interesting, I think it was a case of storyline moving to Cybertron, designs are already done, plus a few of the toys are on the shelves so why not?

The Soundwave and Bumblebee designs used for the early RID comics were a couple of years older, but still worked.

I personally use United Soundwave and FOC Shockwave on my Classics-verse tabletop because like you mentioned, they're in a G1 universe in the comics and I have nothing else to represent them, and TK Bruticus is on my "big guy" table for now wih Metroplex and the CW Combiners, but the Seekers and other releases like Bee, Jazz and Optimus are on my WFC/FOC shelf as I've got other versions, like the United Seeker three packs, Evolution and CW Prime, United/Classics/Generations Bumblebee releases..

On the other hand, given the space, if have no problem displaying them all side by side (like I used to 'before I had too many figures.)

So I guess it's all personal opinion, and whether or not you follow certain lines of fiction of design asthetic

Yeah, Trypticon seems to be a popular choice for a new titan class, considering there's a 2 year gap between Metro and Devvy, I'd guess maybe 2-4e years before trypticon??
