Looking at the gallery, since I don't have a Blaster yet, and not sure I'll pick one up at this point, several questions arise from that fanny pack.

I know its there to accommodate the length of the tablet minions and the battle platform tank thing he comes with, but there's a few other things there.

There's the peg for the gun, and there's a pin hinge which I'm guessing is for the minion slot to move up and down in his chest, but then there's some unused clips / tabs there that appear to server no purpose at this point.

He connects to FortMax via the ramps in his legs / dance floors. so what are those tabs for?

Does any thing else clip there?

That's a good question. I was wondering myself while I was photographing him, but figured it'd all make sense once I got my hands on Fort Max.

Fast forward a week later, I've got my hands on Fort Max and I'm still wondering. Not to mention that it was pretty frustrating hooking up Blaster to Fort Max. The idea of the bases connecting seems pretty ill-conceived. One side of Blaster wouldn't stay connected to the "ramp" on Fort Max, so I had to connect him to the other side, not to mention that I couldn't figure out how to connect Blaster in battle station mode to Fort Max in the way that the instructions show to transform him. I had to come up with my own "battle station" custom mode in order for him to connect properly.

Hmm, thanks for first hand info Ryan. Its disappointing the base connections are less than secure.

But that still leaves those tabs / clips there / hinges. Were they meant for some other mode? Will Soundwave be using those?

Or is it one of those features that get scrapped before production, but parts of them are not removed from the molds.

It almost seems like some other ramp or hinge would connect there for something.
