1) When will they reveal this beast?. Hopefully the next toy fair.

That's my hope as well

2) Is there a chance of a UK release?.

We've frequently seen the UK get various NA exclusives, so I'm optimistic. Hasbro spent a ton on these guys, there's no way that they wouldn't try to get as much money as possible from them.

3) and Just how many Erectors can one man get about a toy that's not even been revealed yet.

Well, Erector is a pretty popular character in certain niche fangroups, so I guess it's concevable that you might want to get more than one. Personally I'm not a huge fan of Micromasters.

As far as I can tell Combiner Wars is doing very well in the UK. Every Smyths I visit seems to be flogging this line by the dozen. I ask the guys at the store if they have any more when certain figures aren't on the shelves and they're always saying how quick this new line is going.

Because then Hasbro would have to release six more products at the voyager price point, six more products that to parents will look exactly the same: large construction vehicles painted green and purple. Not to mention, Hasbro has to convince retailers to buy those waves of nigh-identical looking products and allocate all that shelf-space for a higher than normal price-point item. Releasing Devastator as a gift set to a toy specialty store makes perfect sense.

so it makes more sense for parents to shell out over 120 bucks on one toy vs 25 and that they can buy the others at later dates, im a parent myself and i know the difference in characters that my kids like and spending a lot on a toy that a kid may or may not keep in good condition is not very sensible

Which is why the target audience for this figure is very likely adult collectors and not kids. Sure, kids CAN play with it, it will be produced to U.S. toy safety standards as it will be sold as a "toy", and well-to-do parents are welcome to buy it for their children, but there's also a new line of kid-friendly, perfectly fine to treat without "kid gloves" Transformers with a brand-new TV show tie-in they could buy instead for much less money. Are you also upset that Masterpiece figures are very expensive and sold exclusively through TRU in the U.S.?

lets back up here, nobody is upset, you are assuming that only adults buy geneations and kids only want the playschool ones, that is very false there are plenty of kids that want these generations TFs believe me not just adults, masterpiece is targeted for adult collectors generations are targeted for both kids and adults and then the playschool ones for the younger kids or those few adults who collect those too.

There's just no pleasing some people.

Hasbro was way of the hook of my negatism when I heard the words Generations Arcee & Combiner Wars.
So they were in the clear for 2014, and are already way in the clear for 2015.

Dear gawd, I'm so going to buy every single Combiner Wars figure, eventhough I don't have the space for it.

And what's all this about Prowl? He's an Autobot car.
(yes I only follow the cartoons)

uh what? no pleasing me, are you f..ing kidding me! before your so quick to judge maybe you should take time to ask me what im thinking about this!
i just saw titan devastator and thought of a city sized combiner when it wasnt the case
im all for this thing and i cant wait

I'm not saying the Generations line isn't for kids. No, it's obvious from the promotional videos Hasbro has released that Combiner Wars in particular is a big push to make playing with Transformers FUN by using an old gimmick in a modern way. I am saying, though, that high ticket items are geared more for collectors (i.e., the "Platinum Editions" and giftsets with extra paint apps applied, like the AoE Autobots United set). Yes, it might be nice to have a "cheaper" option for this new Devastator, but in reality, you're spending the same amount of money ($150 USD) on the entire set that you would on six individual voyager class figures at mass retail (6 x $25 USD). There's virtually NO mark-up on TRU's part, which is amazing. Consolidating that many different SKU's into ONE makes perfect sense for Hasbro from a distribution standpoint too. Why deal with the headache of distribution problems getting all six parts out in sufficient numbers to all retailers when you can just do it all in one shot, ensuring no purchaser will have to hunt endlessly for the last one or two components that never shipped to their area stores. It's also a hard pill to swallow from the retailer perspective to keep ordering the same monotonous looking greenish purple construction stuff to clog up your toy aisles for a year or more. Doing something like Devastator as an all-in-one set is much more attractive. For the price that would cost, though, only TRU has the confidence to stock an expensive item like that.

I'm just glad I didn't waste any money on the Crapper Crap Comcrapper line from a few years back. Really - one transforming bot with four non-transforming 'drones'. What a waste.

No. I spent years studying Craponese, Stinklish, and, Poopoorean. I just haven't used them in a while. ;)
For the record, I love PCC, or as I like to call them, Aaron Archers Last Stand.

But back on topic,
HAVE YOU GUYS HEARD ABOUT THIS DEVASTATOR TOY? It's gonna be HUGE!

People really shouldn't talk about the US$150 like it's a fact. All we know is the Canadian price (and even that isn't set in stone), you can't properly predict TRU prices based on that. There was a time when we kinda could, but when MP Prowl was sold well above the equivalent to the Japanese yen price ignoring exchange at US$69.99 vs. 5,800JPY (currently a bit over US$48). That may be a freak situation (but like the norm for car bots), but it does serve to prove how unpredictable Hasbro is. Also don't forget that Hasbro always marks up exclusive figure sets over the individual sale prices. It's practically unheard of for them not to raise the price. I'm thinking these will be more like US$165-US$170.

And I really don't see why anyone would want these individually and have to wait the entire year to complete them. They only release two to three voyagers at a time, and with Silverbolt and Prime still early in release, Motormaster on the way, Hot Spot expected, and Onslaught likely there really isn't any room for another six Voyagers this year. In 2014 we had six Voyagers total (outside of AOE and not counting early CW releases), and only three in 2013 so don't expect any more Voyagers this year than what we know and what's been strongly rumored already.

Contrary to my usual penchant for wild guessing and speculation, I have absolutely nothing to contribute in terms of ideas here.

The only thing I think might be a clue is how on the Combiner Wars cover solicits, everyone's in their new CW bodies, and on the Devastator retailer exclusive variant cover, Hook is back to his nominal position as Head and Shoulders, and the leg who would be scrapper is curiously hidden behind the big white box where the retailer is supposed to be.

Whether this means scrapper will come back from the dead, or whether scoop's gonna go get himself repainted in green and purple, I have no idea.

Obviously, I'm hoping it's going to be the original 6 constructicons. I love me some geewun reedun.

The rumor as regards Takara releasing them individually as MPs I can't see that happening. Not when the full set is at this price point. Takara are usually buggers for soliciting Masterpieces WAY far in advance, which is probably so they can see how many preorders they need to fill with the production run.

I feel like the fact that we already know he'll come packed 2 per case is just a bit too far along with it to have not heard anything from Takara.

Oh man, imagine the fandom uproar if it did turn out to be Scoop, and either still being orange while the rest would be green (giving Devastator an orange leg), being green like the others but still wearing an Autobot symbol.

WHAT IF!
It's Scoop, he's still orange, and Hasbro release a bot con G2 orange Devastator with scrapper as his one green leg, and the only way to complete either set is to own both. :michaelbay:

Don't hate on the PCCs! If it weren't for them, we might not be getting Combiner Wars. I bet Hasbro learned a lot about what DOESN'T work from making PCCs.

Also, they're still pretty cool in my book, especially the dino set.
