I imagine Cybershark's issue with Cyberverse is that he seems to take his collecting seriously. I imagine that most of his collection stays in the box and sits on a shelf, which is just fine by me. My collection, on the other hand, is in constant turmoil. I am always taking toys off the shelf to play with them because I just can't help myself. If I never played with my Cyberverse figures I probably would have missed the whole point of them as well, since they don't look that impressive in the package. However, just because I like the cheap, fun toys doesn't mean I'm going to rant and rave about how unnecessary I think 3rd Party stuff is. To each their own, man, stop running the stuff I like into the ground.
And on that note, I am completely over-the-moon with excitement for these Terrorcons! I just bought the Sky Claw and I have to say they really knocked Smokescreen out of the park. If the Terrorcons are in keeping with the current rate of improvement in the Cyberverse stuff I can't even imagine how great these will be.
Captain Magic. You are right I DO take these seriously and that is why I get upset lately with Hasbro. Do not get me wrong I think the Terrorcons are really cool. However I wish they would have put that effort into a deluxe or voyager size of them is all. Sure I will try to buy this set because it IS Abominus after all. And all the individual figs. look kinda cool.I fully understand why you would collect only Cyberverse now, they are small and cost less and take up less space. I was telling a friend a few years ago that if Hasbro was smart they would expand the line and continue to make them. And try to make them in scale to each other, that way they could really have some cool Combiners and other larger Transformers like Six shot, Metroplex, Fort Max, etc. And make them in that smaller scale only massive compared to the other cyberverse toys. And would fit in more easily compared to trying to get a large figure to fit in scale with the regular figures, etc.
And as far as me keeping all of my stuff in package you are partly correct. I used to buy 2 of almost everything, 1 to keep sealed and stored away(because I have no room) and 1 to open and display. However since the release of the movies I have had to cut back since there was just too much product to buy, I couldnt keep up with 2 of each on the last movie. Plus I've run out of room, lol. I am also Not "running your stuff into the ground". All I did was voice a complaint at Hasbro.
And Im no big fan of 3rd party stuff. I HATE the price of it. BUT after the last 2 years and this next year 2013. These companies are making people open their eyes to just what can be made and accomplished!! And some of the stuff is UNREAL!! Hercules was great, Perseus was cool, Uranos is cool so far. Giant was fairly cool, Menasor is looking decent IF Motormaster can be sweet (no pics of it yet), MMC's Predaking looks UNREAL!! And that is why I am upset because I would rather be throwing my money at Hasbro and paying less because Hasbro can charge less for the same product if they want to!! They have a much larger base and can sell to Wal-Marts, K-mart, Tragets, etc in much higher quantities. I just want like EVERY BODY else to have badass Hasbro toys some day. Not just a decent Abominus made for Cyberverse. Or a decent FOC Bruticus that is kinda cool, and kinda Not cool, lol. So Please Hasbro make a Computron now to at least go with the Abominus!! Then a Piranacon then a Monstructor to go with it!! We can only hope right??
