I might consider doing a comic on Transformers The Animated Movie 2.

The story follows the events that took place on Earth the same time Optimus Prime and Autobot Head-and-Targetmasters were battling their Decepticon counterparts and Lord Zarak on Nebulos.

The unrepentent Quintessons - for the first time - viewed Earth as their next place of conquest after numerous attempts to reclaim Cybertron failed. Especially when our planet is full of rich natural resources.

They formed a full battlion army of Sharkticons, Alligacons and their new creations - Seacons with the ability to merge into Piranacon.

They also once again forged an uneasy alliance with the Decepticons who are led by Astrotrain after the departure of Galvatron, Cyclonus and Sweeps for Cybertron. Besides Astrotrain, there are Trypticon, Duocons (featured in Season 4 theme song but not in story) and all the merge groups of Constructicons, Stunticons, Combaticons, Predacons and Terrorcons.

Shockwave - presumed dead in Transformers The Movie - also returned stronger and more powerful with his new deadly arsenal of heavy assault artillery and troops.

On the Autobots side, Springer is placed in charge of Autobot City by Optimus Prime before the latter and Ultra Magnus headed for Cybertron to look for Kup and the rest following their departure.

For the first time, he will be featured with 2 other triple changers Broadside and Sandstorm together.

Others include Metroplex, Sky Lynx, Blaster, Perceptor, Wreckgar and Junkions, Dinobots (who will unite again into Dinoking in this story), Aerialbots, Protectobots, Technobots, Monsterbots and Thottlebots.

Elita One also make an appearance. She came to Earth looking for Optimus after learning of his revival. Her entire team are wiped out by Shockwave and his men on the way to Earth.

Quintessons also cut off all Autobot communications from Earth to Cybertron to ensure total victory.

Good idea. But it has been a while since the G1 continuity was around, so it might be hard to put this into action.
