Smart thinking! Especially with how popular these toys are and the snafus with distribution (on the retail side), if Krok interests you, just get him now and you can always sell him a year later when more collectors decide they want to get into these toys (check how much CW Prime goes for, he's the voyager with the lowest production run).

This is the sole reason that I got Getaway from wave 3. Well, that and the $10 Christmas sale prices. Even at a regular $15-$17 price I figure the short packed ones are going to be able to resell for at least their original price in a few years. That being said, Quake and Krok are both instant buys for me. Need more cons and I like both molds. The gator QC issues were nothing a little floor polish didn't take care of on Skullcruncher.

Has anyone has issues with blurrs Titan master hyperfire, specifically the fin/horn? that pops up when he's in head mode?

I just got one for my birthday and I just can't get the fin to stay up,it's just dropping down into the head every time

Luckily I have never had to modify or fix any of my buys so any advice would be much appreciated thanks

It doesnt stay up well on any version, its a problem most have.

Tiny screw driver take it to pieces and varnish the inside with a minuscule dab of clear nail polish (let it dry before re-assembly) ?

Ok, so I got all of wave 3 I was gonna get except for the legends class which havent shown up yet. The best is triggerhappy, no doubt. But mine has the same gun twice, so I will return it to walmart to see if the other one there has 2 different guns, and will report it to Hasbro so that they get their **** together.

Anyways, I have some issues with Sixshot. The legs have a real hard time pegging together together for a variety of his modes, the tips as well (like when you want to do the spaceship mode). And the tail of Twinferno as well. Also, I had not noticed until now but the dragon heads on Twinferno have an underbite. I would have much preferred they didnt and that the lower jaw didnt go over.
Another thing about Sixshot, that wolfhead blows. It has a tumour growing from under its through and the top has a big hole throughout. Its not appealing.

Anyways, for those still wondering, Sixshot functions as if he wasnt a headmaster at all. If you didnt tell me he was, I would have never known, the gimick hinders nothing at all.

And.... He can (as we all thought) do his 7th mode, the flying wolf!

Hey Will, according to reviews, the Sixshot titan master is meant in integrate into the wolf mode head in that gap, helps fill it out, sort of like the titans masters in their little vehicles where they pilot a mode, integrate into another mode

I cannot unsee DAT TUMOR -- or does he just have a fat neck?

Either way, I'd still say he's a fine update to the G1 original, and awesome in the face. Great articulation, I assume?

I don't plan on buying him, but I'm prone to impulse-buying -- I just bought a 3rd Gnaw, ferchrissakes!

You got a Triggerhappy with two of the same guns? That's interesting, I got a Twinferno with the same problem. (BBTS fixed it for me thankfully) I wonder if it's a widespread packaging error this wave.

Twinferno's tail taks some finessing. It will stay together eventually, but it involves a lot of squeezing and minor, minor movements.

As for the underbite, I think it's awesome. It gives those dragon heads so much personality. And when you open their mouths they just look excitedly happy about everything!

Since Sky Shadow is a pretool to Overlord, do you guys think he can still form Overlord's super jet mode?

not sure... the only review of Sky Shadow on Youtube so far is one from chefatron, he shows the jet sitting on top of the tank. Also, no offense to him, but while its nice to often be the first to review things, he should probably read up and perhaps practice more and actually learn about the product he's reviewing before making videos. He says "I don't know" more often than Optimus Prime did during The Rebirth. I would think at least TT wouldn't allow an Overlord toy to be made without such capability, but I guess time will tell.

I swear I saw pics of that mode, but where is anyone's guess.

It is widespread. I just went to Walmart to exchange it and the new one I got has the same 2 guns again. I will wait for a restock (a month or two) to see if the guns are different then.

It seems you can only have the tank under the jet and not behind it. But we'll see, these toys are so articulated with so many moving parts that we can always fashion random fan modes from them.

A bit out of the blue, but does anyone else find it kind of friggin' awesome that we're at a point where we're not just getting new toys of 1980s Transformers characters, not just of the obscure 1987 guys when most people stopped being interested, but completely accurate ones that are the main focus of the line?

Just... in retrospect, this would probably have seemed impossible when CHUG started out and we just got the main stars plus a few other guys from 85. At most we'd get a Hardhead redeco of a Cybertron toy that didn't really work for Hardhead but the alt-mode sort of worked so we sort of accepted it?
To be at the point where we get a full remake of the 1987 Headmasters as one of the main lines in the current franchise is just astonishing to me. It's friggin' cool.

I think its completely awesome. CW was well done enough to bring me out of a 10 year absence of collecting the toys, and TR has made me want to continue. For me however I stuck with the original series until the end of the 4th year (or the 1987 series). Fortress Maximus back then was a highlight, and I couldn't wait to see what came the next year...what would be the "Biggest" TF in 1988...

Sadly there was none, plus the fact that the animated series had come to an end, coupled with the fact that now I was 12 (1988), and in the sixth grade and it all-of-a-sudden wasn't "cool" to play with toys anymore, so that's why basically 1987 was the last year I collected initially. Sure PM Prime and Piranacon looked neat, but there really wasn't any draw in the smaller scale HM's, TM's and even the newer Power Masters were kind of "Meh" to me back then, and Pretenders to me were always lame, I feel even the same way today about Pretenders.

Now however for the TR line, Yes its great. I do take a small bit of exception with Hasbro remaking Skullsmasher into Krok (a reimagining of an Action Master). I still think there are too many good characters from 85-88 to use, we don't have to start throwing Action Masters in the mix quite yet, but its *hopefully* just one. I had a friend in highschool who was faithful up until the end. It was 1991, we were 15 and he was still collecting Action masters and I was like...why? Those things are garbage. I still feel that way, but if anybody out there likes to collect em' more power to you, I just don't think they have the same level of appeal/resonance as earlier characters do.

Krok is pretty much just because he's the leader of the Scavengers in MTMTE imo. Same reason we got Swerve in Thrilling 30; if it wasn't for the comics, he wouldn't be here.

Not a fan of this guy's reviews. I prefer videos to start out in alt mode and transform them into bot mode. I don't care about what they look like right out the package.

Interesting, I keep hearing that fans hated the action masters and I often see them in worst toy list, simply because of the terrible marketting plan of removing the transforming aspect from transformers. But that doesnt at all translate to secondary market prices. There must still be a big interest in them since they are expensive as all hell on e-bay, way more than complete characters from 85-86. That Action Master Optimus is really expensive.

There must be a big collector demand somewhere.

I think the logic is that the reviews are there to help if you have difficuly transforming the figure and all these come in robot mode, so thats why he starts that way.

Anyways, thanks DMax for showing me how to plug that hole (it felt so great!).
However, in the end, I am not a huge fan of Sixshot. He is really really G1. Those toys have a charm of their own with their limited articulation, but making them more articulated and leaving it at that becomes off. Like all the modes kinda look like ass and they all looks like the same mix of parts and colours without really looking distinctive. I would have preferred an actual update where certain modes had their own really cool specific detail. It would have been great if they just reworked a few things to make certain elements fit better and look less off, like the forearms in space ship mode for instance.

And that tank mode is super odd in how the legs are transformed. It feels more like a fan mode since there isnt an actual connecting point, if someone can confirm that it would be great!

In the end, my favourite mode would be robot mode, followed by Truck and then spaceship, tank, wolf, gun/submarine. Flying wolf is actually a pretty good mode, better than the actual wolf, since it has a more mecha look (like a Power Ranger zord) rather than being an oddly proportioned wolf.
