Could it depend on the version of release? The ones I got are from the costco set. And the combined mode is stable enough (though I have to make his upper legs fall towards his shins to maintain the balance).

You can partially slide Prime's torso back in, which should improve balance a it, and put the crotch guard closer to where it belongs

Speaking of things that sell for 100$ on e-bay, Costco exclusive Cybertron RID Ultra Magnus and Fire Convoy, loose in box (UM was still attached to his plastic) with instructions. For 30$, Mike Drop

The Japanese version is the most stable. The ratcheted spine of the Fireconvoy part is tighter than the Hasbro version. I had first the Hasbro, sold it then replaced it with the Car Robot version. Only drawback was that I didn't get the Godmagnus bio card.

Anyway, I bought my set used from the US some years ago. I don't remember which state it was from exactly, but my version was perfect and still is.
In summer, we have a few weeks of sauna-like weather. It's pretty humid. So, what cause the tires to crack, is it dry weather?

Finally caved after finding Soundwave for a decent price. I picked up Night be at for my developing Lost Light shelf.

Hm. Soundwave warmed shelves until they began to melt around here, at half-price. It's weird how stuff like that happens. Over here, I just paid a great price for a 'high quality KO' of ROTF Bludgeon, estimated to arrive within a month. It's a week later and I've got it, it's not a KO. It's been from the factory, to Newport, to Hong Kong and has ended up back in Newport - it may even be the very one I refused to pay £35 for in Tesco years ago - and who knows where else. The box has taken a whack but a brown felt-pen will deal with the actual damage; damage consistent with the one I refused to pay for years ago. I understood that I was buying a KO, the pictures in the auction were of a KO, I got the real thing. When I tried to direct a link to the seller towards a friend, I couldn't find them - a genuine, 'it was here, I swear' experience. Sorry if I should have posted this on Fortean Times but it was 50/50 upstairs. It may be the very one come back to it's rightful owner...

My stuff was in storage for about ten years as well, but it was climate controlled as I had several firearms in there as well (gun safe). The packaging looks pristine.

I didn't start collecting again (aside from the occasional toy) until late last year, so I missed a lot of figures. I like Soundwave. He looks the part, and I don't mind his alt-mode. He looks good alongside CW Megatron and BH Shockwave.

As for the haul...Armada Cybertron Prime and Cybertron Monkey arrived today. Both were NIP, monkey prime has a stripped screw in the shoulder straight out of package:( Awesome Transformation though otherwise...my crystal ball foresees model glue.
