Meaning the Generations Scout & Minicon :CON: sets, Megatron & Xchop and Starscream & Waspinator.
Megatron is disapointingly small in vehicle mode while Starscream is AMAZING.

huh... come to think of it all this time hunting for cosmos and swerve, i also havent seen megs or screamer once. i planned on buying the pretty takara ones anyways. but yeah... nothing but data discs, primes and bees.

Have you crossed the border? From what I've seen in the southern US, Megs and Screamer are sitting pretty with little to no OP or Bees to be seen.

Told ya.

Remember, if you want Megs and Screamers, buy them of Ebay from this seller. With combined shipping, they will run you just a few dollars more than if you would have paid them locally at full price with taxes.

Because, who know when they will come out in Canada. If at all.

thanks. but i plan on buying the takara ones, so its no biggy if i never find them.

but since my area is now officially on the next wave, can i rule out ever seeing megs and screamer? i only ask because its strange here. first we got primes and bb's. then data discs (which are currently hogging all the peg space), then we got more primes and bb's (actually kind of recently), and now swerve and cosmos? tre bizarre non?

I bet it's just store employees grabbing whatever boxes they can find to stock the shelves with. It's the same line and same price point, so no harm in putting them up, right?

some lio convoys (regular and flash) and hot roddies (black and crystal)!

Image

ive previously owned all the lio's, sold them off, lost money. regretted it and in the process of getting them back (nabbed at great prices).

99% of my figures i open, but these hot rods are MISB and minty fresh... im really debating it. one thing that would make me open the roddies would be some decepticony flames by reprolabels for the black guy. i emailed them a few months ago and no reply :(

I am new here and I keep repeating that in case I sound naive or not well versed. I do love transformers though and have been getting back into collecting. I looked online for the best designs because it's that aspect of these figures that I like best. Obviously, it can be an expensive hobby and reading about how great Deluxe Generations Optimus Prime (from War for Cybertron and NOT Fall of Cybertron) is and then seeing how much he costs online can be a bit of a wake up call. So finding the right transformers for the right price can be tough. Ebay prices are inflated, there is such a huge gap between the current selling price and the completed listings final bids.

But man, I found someone who deals only locally (and I found him through connections on this board) and not only does he actually have what I am looking for but for a decent price. Anyways, the transaction takes place tomorrow and this is what I am hoping to get from it, wish me luck:

Cybertron Vector Prime
Animated Shockwave voyager (purple) hasbro
Animated Prowl Samurai deluxe Takara Tomy
Springer Deluxe (Repaint of Tomahawk)
Thrust henkei deluxe
Generations Optimus Prime deluxe (the first one)
Optimus Prime Leader ROTF with reprolabel stickers applied
Grindor voyager ROTF
Bulkhead RID voyager hasbro with stickers (I thought only Japanese toys came with stickers)
AM-15 Darkness Megatron Takara, stickers already applied

Wow..

I mean, wow...

One Ebay purchase (Ultra Magnus), one 4chan /toy/'s BST purchase (ONE Cybertron Defence Red Alert plus minicons), a very, very low priced pruchace from my usual local guy (2010 Unicron, Universe Acid Storm, Deluxe Cybertron Unicron, and HFTD voyager Battle Blades Optimus Prime... for 100$ total!), plus one completely crazy trade with newcomer william-james88 (all the rest) and I have my most HUGE haul in years. Only a few are incomplete. The accessories are in the baggies.

Sigh...
I thought I would have sold a couple of spare TFs to free up some space... Now, I'll have to buy more shelves instead! Ah! First World problems.

BTW, I think about making a custom Doubledealer out of my second Cybertron Defence Red Alert. How the hell can I pull off a bird mode out of that thing?

Thanks!
As for the Unicron, I'm a bit torn. I have the Armada nad the Amazon. That 2010 Unicron was bought only to sell it to someone. However, I may never have another one like it at that price ever again.
To keep it and replace Armadacron on my premium display space, or to sell it (for almost no profits whatsoever)?
That is the question.

That's whatI'm planning to do.
However, my Amazon Unicron was in planet mode for months and I received 2010 Unicron in bot mode. So, I will display Amazcron in bot mode and 2010cron in planet mode for a while. Then, I'll decide.

No matter what, I will NEVER sell my Armadacron. It's the original after all and some other place in my home is in need of a planet devourer.

lol yeah. i just try to emphasize "my preference" since the majority here likes the opposite (amacron over 2010cron).

and i agree on the original. i was so psyched when he was first released, i dont think ill ever get rid of him. but display? i dont know. im still muddling over the idea of collecting aramada as i have such a love/hate relationship with it. so currently he has no place...

Currently displaying 2010 Unicron in planet mode on the Throne of Chaos. He's so... orange! And in robot mode, he's so pale compared to the Amazon one. Also, I really, REALLY like Armada Unicron. Finally, for me, Amacron have a better pain job than 2010cron. Also, Amacron and Armacron look so good together becuase they are so different.

Looks like I will sell Mr 2010 after all.

Well, here you have it, this is my best haul yet in terms of quality and figures I wanted most (I have had big hauls in the past but it was usually buying a collection with just a few transformers worth bragging about if at all). My top most wanted have been some classics seekers, animated shockwave, ROTF Optimus, Animated Prowl, Generations Optimus Prime, Vector Prime and ROTF Bludgeon. They have all been taken care of in one day.

You will see the other side of the trade Kanrabat described a few posts earlier. From that I got Leader Starscream (HFTD), Takara Animated Bulkhead, alternators Silverstreak, Classics Starscream and my very favourite, Bludgeon from ROTF. I personally think its a crazy trade in my favor but both of us thinking we got a great deal is the best sort of trade.

And for 140$ flat I got: Animated Shockwave, Animated Prowl Samurai (Takara),
Springer (deluxe), Henkei Thrust, Generations Optimus Prime, Optimus Prime ROTF with reprolabel stickers applied, Vector Prime, Grindor ROTF and AM-15 Darkness Megatron Takara.

So without further ado:

Image

Image

... I guess I have a thing for swords

Image

The only Transformer from Japan I ever owned before this deal was from the Binaltech line and there was clearly a quality difference there. But that set me up for a bit of a disappointment when I realized that apart from the colour scheme and a few details, there wasn't much difference between the Takaras I picked up and their Hasbro counterparts.

I was expecting a much heftier Megatron (the AM-15) but the plastic was very light on that figure. Also, the dark grey plastic is a lot darker than the stock photos showed and it makes it harder to make out some details around his abdominal area. I cant believe that means there is still no show accurate Prime Megatron out there. He's either too bright, too dark, too small, with the wrong weapon, or a shark. This is still my preffered version of a mold I wanted very much to own. Also, this being my first Arms Micron I was not expecting such a big addition as Hades the bat. Holy Hell, that thing is huge!!!!!!!!! And when attached to Megatron's back, it elevates the figure to a point I never conceived.

All in all, this has been an incredible haul!

yeah. 2010cron isnt everyones cup of tea. staying on the 'cron topic, one of tfsource's sale items is united ark unicron for $38. im on the fence of getting him and a ultra mammoth. we'll see.

i avoided pretty much all of the animated line after being let down with the first wave. but ive always wanted that purple shockwave. and you cant go wrong with that alternator silverstreak and ROTF bludgeon. nice haul!

Animated is turning out to be one of my favourite lines in history. I adore the generations line, and like you my favourite stuff is from Beast Wars and I would wish Hasbro/Takara to make more stuff like the Rhinox, Waspinator and Rattrap coming out now (and please a better cheetor than the one of a few years back, it was less screen accurate than the original one). However, I adore a good design and the animated line is the most consistent one in terms of design. All their transfromers are a joy to transform and have ingenious transformations. The alt mode and robot mode have as much care put into them and a perfect synergy I dont find anywhere else. I just got the animated Bulkhead (gift from Kanrabat) and you cant tell its more than just a cute truck to play with. The arms and chest are right there in front of you but you cant see them since they are so flawlessly integrated within the alt mode. And if you can, check out a review of Lockdown, my ultimate animated figure. 0 kibble and a sleek stylish (and very tall) robot emerges from an awesome looking car. In his robot mode, it is hard to even conceive he could transform, least of all from such a small car.

i have lockdown! and i did really like him. i wasnt meaning to dump on animated, cause at the end of the day it might have just been the esthetics of the line werent for me. i also never watched the show, so i had no connection and since i avoided the toys i cant accurately comment on them. i wasnt happy with the first wave, so i only bought a figure here and there. but what i did buy, i liked. namely the dinobots and lockdown.

Because of me, you, and a few others, he's running a bit dry out of TFs on CRAZY sale, but you never know when he's going to put up some new things that would make our heart skip a beat. Both in prices and awesomness of the thing offered.

By the way, Cybertron Crumplezone is now one of my favorite TF ever! Hillarious bot mode, a very, very cool vehicle mode, an intuitive transformation... Too bad his key is missing but it's a small miracle his missiles are not. As for his broken key-spring loaded gimmick, I just ajusted a knob and cut-off some tiny plastic knob. Now, popping the cannon-thrusters in and out work perfectly well. Incredible that the TF that please me the most out of my latest HUGE haul was... an unexpected bonus freebie!

Sigh, and I thought I would have freed some space... I bought for around 100$ of plastic shelves today! My long passageway will be FILLED!

shajaki wrote:i have lockdown! and i did really like him. i wasnt meaning to dump on animated, cause at the end of the day it might have just been the esthetics of the line werent for me. i also never watched the show, so i had no connection and since i avoided the toys i cant accurately comment on them. i wasnt happy with the first wave, so i only bought a figure here and there. but what i did buy, i liked. namely the dinobots and lockdown.

First, what are you waiting for? WHATCH ANIMATED ALREADY! Truly one of the best TF show ever. Through the show, it make an hommage to the whole TF History, especially G1. It funny, cleverly written, non repetitive, the characters are awesome. You wont regret it!

Also, many if not most Animated toys are just incredible, with clever design and transformation. They are also pretty cheap, even on Ebay. Give them a chance! For the price you may get some lots, there's no excuses to miss out.
Come see my latest creation, a Galvatron Combiner using 4 SS86 Sweeps as limbs HERE!

Also, an update to my old ALL HELICOPER VICTORION!

Nice haul! Love eBay for stuff like this, recently bought a job lot of 8 Movieverse figure AND ROTF Superion for £40! suffice to say I sold everything but Superion so acctually got him for free.

Happy King's Day! Yep, the most patriotic day of the Dutch Calander has moved from the former Queen's Mother's birthday (30th of April) to the current King's birthday (April 26th, off by one day thanks to it falling on a Sunday). So my love and I went out in town, looking at local events (like the children's flea market and ring riding) and yes, buying stuff. And it netted me this:
