In short, mp wheeljack is one of the best transformers ever made probably the very best example of a car robot. And wingblade is a fiddly letdown full of holes.

I couldn't agree more with these 2 statements.

I slept on Gen Plex because I was in the middle of "life stuff" when he was on the shelves.
Figured I better scoop him up now before it gets any worse. Saved my milk money for months.
Then while perusing Amazon, wondering what to do with a gift certificate, I found Cyber Plex.
Gently used, for a GREAT deal.
Throw in some Legends, and call it a weekend.

Anyway, The only fault I see with those two Metroplexes are the silly and quite lazy transformation prosess.
Generations: "Meh, I'm going to sit there for a moment..."
Cybertron: "Oh, I'm ready, senpai! Do what you want! <3"

The funny thing is, despite the silly transformation, it just work! What I love to do for Gen Metroples city mode is to have one leg as "city", and the one under the chest ladder as "carrier". It make for something very organic, very Cybertronian.
And that robot mode! What I love to do is to put those articulated hands to good use and give him a poor legion to crush! Glad that you finally have a Gen Metroplex, before his price get too "scalpy". He's really worth it!




BTW, Fortmax is still at "only" 240$ at BBTS. Even with 100$ of shipping and taxes to send it to Canada, Fortmax is just amazing and is a great partner to Metroplex! Now is the time to own a Fortmax, guys!

At first, I thought I'd hate Fortmax becasue he looked way too boxy and he was friggin' 360$ + shipping and everything. But at 120$ off, it compensate the expensive shipping and the inexcapable custom fees so I sold a couple of unwanted things and comitted to buy.

No regrets.

Fortmax is MASSIVE and HEAVY. He feel like a premium figure with lots of heavy plastics and metal parts.
Also, "Yo dawg, I heard you liked Headmasters so we put a Headmaster on your Headmaster!"
Fortmax have an insane ammount of weaponry and hidden guns, plus a ridiculous sword!
He don't have that much stickers to apply and they are of an outstanding quality.
The transformation to city mode is much more complete that Metroplex's, mainly due to the fact that a friggin giant tower come out of his chest.
Lot's of play features like ramps, launching pads, hidden compartiments, and an elevator!
Fortmax's only fault is the typical G1 lack of posability.

Instead of say, buying a 3rd MP seeker, not much more money will get you a Fortmax. Any GIANT bot lovers should have both a Gen Metroplex and a Formax!

Those are ROTF keychains, sans the chains. Sure, it's a X-Over universes thing, but at the time, I found that those where the best figures to make Metroplex more gigantic. However, I think that for more fun, I'll use legend figures to go with him instead. He's made for them and it will be more fun.

One thing I'd like to put with my Fortmax are some G1 minibots. However, those are SO expensive!

Finally got Deluxe AoE Snarl and Bumblebee at my local Walmart. For 10$ each!

YEah, I'm amazed that I had a hard time finding a Bumblebee toy!

went to a meeting here in holland yesterday, bought some lottery tickets, won some small stuff.

Uh? The Vector Sigmas are GOLF BALLS?! I mean, wat? Yeah, "wat". No H. It's that baffling.

BTW, Played with AoE BB and Snarl. Here's my thought:

Bumblebee: Amazing robot mode, despite the huge folded roof on his back. No door-wings and that new chest are a nice change of pace. Unfortunately, the vehicle mode is crap. The overall shape is good, but there's panels gap everywhere that refuse to close. Another thing is instead of one clean yellow color there's lots of different yellow shades from panels to panels due to be either plain or painted plastics. That car exterior need a nice and even coat of paint but we'll never get this on a regular deluxe. Final nail in the coffin are unpainted rims and rear-lights. Still, I paid the guy 11.50$ with the taxes so I can't really complain.

Snarl is AMAZING! He got a consistent color scheme and I adore his clear fins. Dino mode is very clean with little robo parts visible. Transformation is easy and intuitive. Perfect weapon storage for the handle/tail, but the ax blade/fin don't stay in place on top of the dino. However, I can store it underneath in a ver good looking and effective way. Also, BADASS robot mode! Overall, Snarl is one of the best deluxes from the AOE line. Highly recommended.

i think i'll donate them for the lottery at the first meeting i go to, unless someone here wants one.

I DID found Bulkhead and Unicron Megatron at my local Winners and nowhere else. Might as well take another look.

I'm going to cheat a little and show of the very nice DX9 D04 Armor Set.

This 3p upgrade kit transform you standard Evasion Optimus Prime into a neat God Ginrai hommage!

The upgrade kit is not perfect. The "smokestach guns" need to be painted in silvery gray to match the original toy. Black just wont do. Also, the pegs on the "shoes" are way too long and needed to be cut in half for the feet to properly fit. Also, I did not expect it came with a replacement head! It's like a whole new figure!

The end result is just amazing, even if the articulation is hindered a bit.





Owners of a AOE Evasion Optimus and a fan of God Ginrai? Buy that kit!
