Thanks to e-Hobby we have some new clear images of Takara Tomy's recently announced Transformers Generations TG-19 Grimlock and TG-20 Ratbat. Grimlock gets the shiny metallic makeover, which includes a more accurate red abdomen. Ratbat gets a brand new shiny metallic deco with IDW Comics inspired Senator Ratbat head first saw on Generations Scourge's instruction sheet. Images mirrored below.

Yeah, I'm right there with you. I was really hoping for an overall super shiny metallic silver and gold paint as well, but especially the silver! I have him preordered from BBTS right now but I might be cancelling it. I just don't think it's different enough to justify getting him for the $63. The metallic black looks nice but the overall look may not be enough. Oh well, I've got some time to make up my mind.

That head on eat at is supercool. A coat of purple males a big difference. Wow!

I've got both preordered (and staying that way, I'm not getting the Hasbro version of Grimmy at all). I would like to see a side by side comparison of the two Grimlocks though so I can really see what differences there are in the same lighting with the same camera.

So many times I held that Scourge fig in my hands, tempted to buy. Glad I never did, though. Ratbat looks awesome! Yay for IDW head!

I'm not usually one for bots with "anime-faces" (much less on bots that are *supposed* to be animals), but Ratbat looks so nice. I hope Hasbro carries him over, I really don't want to have to pay ~$40.
