Arctorro wrote:Good interview, but I lost interest after they mentioned the approximate size of Predaking. If he really is that small then this is an easy pass, the Preds need to be big and menacing.
That's because this is more geared towards FP's Colossus and Menasor, as well as MT's Giant. MMC's is in scale with TFC's Herc and Uranos.
Kinda got that from the interview, which is why I'll be keeping an eye on that one It's good that both size groups will (hopefully) get versions of Predaking, just gotta hope the one aimed at what you already have is the one you like best

How does MMC win when you can't see any details on a shadowed figure silhouette?
MMC is the bottom picture, the one with the test figure.
That's my point thought, we can't see any details on Unique Toys version of the character on the top. Granted the MMC figure is impressive, but how can you compare two figures when you can only see one figure prototype clearly?

Not bad but I think Im committed to MMC. In Divebombs bird mode they really needed to find something to do with the robot mode's legs. They are way too big to be bird legs. This is one of the few cases where using the traditional G1 style transformation for a updated figure doesnt look right. Also Razorclaw's lion head seems too big. I guess they want that anime look for Predaking, but it makes Razorclaw suffer.

Finding it hard to disagree with you this time, X. Pretty much my feelings to the letter.
I hope these come out around the same time so we can get a figure by figure comparison like how we did with TFC and Maketoys Devastators. So far though MMC has a stronger hold on my attentions.
Really, really not feeling that Razorclaw. He looks like an articulated version of the G1 toy. That lion head is far too big. It looks comical in my opinion. I'm so glad they released this picture. It made the decision to go with MMC's Predaking much much easier.
