So here is the question.... "How weird are you?"
Let's face it some of us (me included) are semi-normal

Transformers fans are like, the most normalized group of any large fan collective out there.

There's the crazies, sure, but there's less of them in this fandom than in others.

I'm inclined to agree... the TF fandom is fairly sane compared to the average scifi fandom.

(However, it is a lot more jerkass than the average scifi fandom... :P)

Between running an Anime Convention, working at a comic store and attending a few Sci-fi Fantasy cons....

Transformer and GIJoe fans on the average do seem more normalized than others and a bit more grounded in reality.

Oh there are a number of ass-clowns but on the whole that's true for about every fandom regardless of what it is.

Actually that is what Wally Burr said (pictured at top). Most Transformer fans are normal, but some can be a little "over-reactive"

Ha Ha! Over-reactive. I don't know anyone on here like that.

I does seem that we are a more toned-down group about the hobby. You don't often see TF fans grouped in with Star Trek "crazy fans" on tv shows and stuff.

We're not crazy! Isn't that right leader class Megatron? Sure is J-O!

... Don't judge me.

Serioulsy though, some people, like WoW players, are totally weird, & not the casual ones. I mean the ones who sit in a dark basement in front of a screen all day with a bag of pizza combos & a Mt. dew, screaming "Die you F***ing orc! DIE!" at the screen. They're the weirdos!

True, they have far worse things instead. (Seriously, when it comes to fictional aliens that fans fixate on sexually, humanoid robots are on the saner end of the spectrum.)

Different strokes for different folks. I love to keep my social, school and sports life in check, which I call real world stuff, while also maintaining a dedication and love for Transformers and other hobbies, I call the fantasy stuff.

I believe that there should be a balance of both, I can't seem to understand the people who venture into the seriousness of the real world or simply the fantasy, but like I said, we're all different people with different mindsets. When there's someone on the outside looking in, us Transformers fans are going to look like a freak show. Yet even among ourselves, there will be some nutcases.

My username is named after one of the most unsocial and unstable characters in the Transformers lore, I scavenge websites across the internet for Transformers news and I call that fun! Maybe others don't understand why I have to put on a 'mask' in real life to hide my interests, but that's how society molded me.

I believe it's best to get to know people before we start to analyze who they are. If I got to know Raksha, maybe I'd understand and realize why she is the way she is. Would I ever do it? No, but this is all just theoertical anyways!

as much as I agree with the first bit here, there are times when certain people have been on record enough times with statements that you just know that they are too far gone to be worth trying to rationalize their actions. Within the world of TF Fandom, Raksha is one of those people.

That's the basics that are toned down for the online wiki, I've seen a number of other statements that aren't as tame. There are reasons that she has been made a subject for comments in the events at later Bot-cons.

While I have not met her, I do have plenty experience with Voice Actors, and I could spend hours debating casting choices and performances. (quick hint people don't stand up in a theater and start making less than kind comments about people's performances, when the lights come on you might find that many of the people you just criticized are sitting in the rows in front of you.#lessonslearnedattheescaflownemoviepremier) But many of the people take a lot of pride in their work and do not deserve to be attacked simply because you don't like the series. There are VA's that do enjoy meeting fans, and nothing can ruin that experience faster than dealing with someone who feels the need to meet them just to bitch them out for issues they have no control over. It can sour their day and effect things for everyone else waiting to meet them.

Well, we're all a little crazy, aren't we? I mean, we each stockpile hordes of little plastic robots. That's pretty weird in the grand scheme of things. But, like many have said, TF fans are not as "out there" as Trekkies, for example. We're more grounded and intellectual about our hobby, and, surprisingly, most of us even have moderate social skills. Still, every group has its nutjobs.

That said, I don't really consider myself all that normal. I have somewhere around 1200 TransFormers in my room. I write poetry, and one day I'll finish the novel I've had kicking around in my head for ten years. My sense of humor is a bit out there. Don't talk to me about sports, I don't know what you're talking about. I havent seen a full game of any sport (not counting the Olympics) in over ten years. I usually volunteer to work on Superbowl Sunday. I share a house with a gay computer scientist, a dredlocked lesbian, three cats (GusGus, Jack, and the Ripper), and a dog named Mary Jane. I'm a geek, and I'm proud of it.

If you wanna see some truly weird sights, come visit me and we'll drive down to New Orleans and walk Bourbon Street where you can behold boys dressed as girls, girls dressed as boys, people dressed as statues, animals, fairies, and some that just wear bodypaint. Try having a 'normal' conversation with that.

You know, back in the 90s on a.t.t., Raksha wasn't all that bad. Some of her writings explaining the Decepticons as the oppressed heroes were kinda interesting and made use of evidence from canon. Then, of course, you have BW Megatron's speech from "Agenda": "a day of reckoning with those who made us slaves" etc. Of course, I'm sure Raksha would object to the use of anything BW, even if it did support her case. So she had a snake, I think that's pretty badass. So she was pro-Decepticon, lol, so am I. She was just a really unique person, and, sadly, she was one of those die-hard G1 fans that could not bring themselves to transform with the times. It's worth noting, however, that she (and several others from those days) are largely responsible for building the foundation of the online TF collector community and for making BotCon a reality. Our fandom would not be what it is today if it wasn't for those super-dedicated Geewunners of old, weird though they may be. ;)
