I was looking through my transformers, and I saw my punch/counterpunch figure and I started to think what if the made a true classic version of him. Im not talking like the sideways molds where the symbol is the only thing that changes, Im talking about a full on figure with an autobot and decepticon robot mode and one alt mode. Ive always had an affinaty to the figure and wondered if anyone else shared the love of the spyformer

Yeah, He's a GREAT toy. He's probably the only G1 toy i actually play with a lot, I'm always taking him out of my huge box of TFs. But the way things are going in the TF Universe, with all the homeages to all the G1 1st and 2nd season characters, i dont think we'll see a remake of him any time soon. :-(

Well apparently many people think Universe Suntreaker/Sideswipe mold could be used for Punch/Counterpunch. As for a mold of his own, I doubt he'll get one.

Still it would be interesting to get one.

I really support the idea of a P/CP figure, but as its already been stated it'd likely just be a slight retool/remold of Sun-Swipe. Even so, I'd like to see it happen.

While we're on the subject of double-agents and the like, I also think Doubledealer would work nicely as a repaint of Cyb. Defense Red Alert (and who honestly LIKED the bird mode on Double Dealer?

). I'm simply thinking on a more realistic level here. Everyone would love new molds of these guys but its not very likely

I'd like a Classics P/CP as well, but, as everyone has stated previously, if they do, he will just be a repaint....and we all know how much everyone LOVES a repaint!

Doubledealer would work perfectly in the Defense Red Alert Mold. The bird mode wasn't that memorable anyway.

considering how different either transform of the sunstreaker/sideswipe mold is, i dont think it'd be that bad of a repaint, the head would need to extra modding to look more in character though!

I'd love some classics spyformers. Much cooler gimmicks than your 'minicons' and 'cyber keys'.

Headmasters, Targetmasters, and 'spychangers' as I shall them FTW!

well I dont own a CP toy so I dont know much about it but Ive ner really liked the look of him personally and yea they could probably do a better job now but it most likely wont happen

I never even thought of the sun/swipe mold as a repaint for him. Im all for a new mold for him, but if we did have to settle for a repaint/retool, at least give him the two heads so he could at least pass for an autobot and decepticon. All they would have to do is find a way to conciel the unused side of the head during each mode

supposedly the streaker/swipe head was supposed to be trasformable so you'd actually have two bots in the mold!

I'm a big fan of the double-agent concept(I regret never finding sideways in armada) and it would be awesome to have a full-fledged counterpunch toy in universe.
