Sawbones' Bio

FUNCTION: Autobot Medic

PROFILE: Cantankerous former gladiator turned medic Sawbones was fighting in the Tarn Colosseums long before Megatron and Optimus Prime were twinkles in the Matrix and isn't afraid to let anyone know it. When the war broke out he was already long retired from the arena but 'the contest' was still the closest thing to his spark so he was putting his considerable experience and accumulated medical knowledge (mostly from patching himself up) as a trainer/medic to the new generation of gladiators. Despite his love of a good fight, Sawbones sees war as a waste as it lacks the form and rules of a sporting one-on-one contest. Has a delicate touch for his large rough-and-tumble frame.

Sawbone's was part of the Altihex Search & Rescue effort given cover and interference by the LRRP unit that would become known as The Altihex Blades. He became a defacto member of the unit when while patching up Scarlock and Slingblade's injuries he helped fend off a squad of seekers at the same time.

ABILITIES: In robot mode has no qualms about using anything at hand from his Surgical Welding Gun that he has jury-rigged to function as a Centigrade Flame-Thrower to his trusty Vibro-Axe (a souvenir from his gladiator days) to disable or dismember opponents in battle. Despite his age he is still a fearsomely strong robot, still able put his gladiatorial combat training to good use. He has taken apart younger decepticons with his bare hands.
All-Terrain Rescue Vehicle has Reactive Armour plating, Pneumatic Battering Ram, a fully equipped mobile CR Chamber, 4x4 wheel drive and a maximum speed of 190 MPH.

WEAKNESSES: Though still immensely strong Sawbones is no longer as agile as he once was and often ends up throwing out a servo or gyro in combat. Needs regular maintenance to remain properly functional.
