About Altihex Blades

The Altihex Blades started as four-mech Long Range Recon Patrol unit hand picked by one of the Autobots' leading Specialist Operators, Knightstorm. He chose three new recruits with prior combat training to lead on highly dangerous special operations missions deep into enemy territory.
Knightstorm was a traitor though, using his position to identify and target skilled Autobot warriors for destruction.
On the pretext of a raid on a Decepticon military facility Knightstorm lured Wildflight, Slingblade and Plaindrifter into a trap that put them in front of a Decepticon Death Squad, their supposed unit commander at it's lead. They would surely have been killed if not for Scarlock and Lodestar's random ariel bombardment of the dummy facility. Managing to get a distress signal to the pirate and his companion a new alliance was forged with Scarlock conniving his way into the unit.
Thanks to the spatial abilities of Lodestar they were among the first on the scene at the Fall of Altihex. The devastating combat ability they showed in the holding action there earned them the nickname of 'The Altihex Blades' not because of prominent members sword skills but from their incredible non-verbal communication and teamwork, striking swiftly and quietly from the shadows 'like a sudden silent blade strike'.
As the team continued to prove themselves they were recognized and their unit was expanded to a full Special Operations Force, now officially code-named the Altihex Blades.
