Plaindrifter's Bio

FUNCTION: Autobot Gunslinger

PROFILE: Laconic, sardonic and taciturn the former mercenary gunslinger is comfortable with silence. The steely glint of his optics is enough to unnerve any opponent, and sometimes his own allies!
Before the war Plaindrifter travelled between the towns of Cybertron's Great Plains taking whatever work for hire he could find, sometimes simple ranch-hand duties but more often than not he ended up as a hired gun. Plaindrifter operated in the morally grey areas, drifting across either side of the line of the law - sometimes the marshall, sometimes the outlaw but always sticking to his personal code of honour, what he saw as justice. It still surprised some that he sided with the Autobots.

Attached to the same LRRP unit as Slingblade, Wildflight and Scarlock, Plaindrifter found an instant rapport with fellow ex-rogue Scarlock and a challenging opponent on the shooting range in Wildflight, Slingblade he took a liking to for his equal terseness.
He was approached by a former associate just before the fall of Altihex who attempted to bribe him into switching factions, the devastation of the former orbital torus state made up his mind because 'Whatever it was, it wasn't justice.' He put a shell in his former colleague by way of an answer. Still tends to keep to himself but is always there when his team needs backup

ABILITIES: In All-Terrain Assault Cycle mode Gunslinger has terrain-adaptive tires, that alter their density and grip for changing ground conditions, and a top speed of 160 MPH. His vehicle mode is armed with a side mounted Buckshot Blaster that fires barrages of ball bearings and a Laser Cannon.
In robot mode alternately wields a Lever-Action Laser Rifle and a pair of matching antiquated Single Action Photon Pistols with incredible speed and accuracy.

WEAKNESSES: Though willing to help others Plaindrifter is often too stubborn to accept help himself and sometimes gets himself into difficult situations through over self-reliance. Prone to losing perspective when the opportunity for increasing his personal wealth presents itself, Gunslinger is as much sucker for booty as Scarlock.
