Maxima's Bio
FUNCTION: Autobot Gunner
PROFILE: Was a member of the Cybertronian Emergency Orbital Defence Battery (Northern Hemisphere) based near Cybertron's North Pole tasked with protecting half the planet from orbital military or meteorite strikes should the planet's normal orbital defences fail. Eager and confident in her abilities, she looks forward to getting into action, like a cheerleader and Quarterback rolled into one. Greatly admires Optimus Prime and was extremely disappointed to be exempted from the Ark mission crew to remain on Cybertron as backup should they fail but grudgingly accepted her duty.
Maxima is a weapons enthusiast and often upgrades her choice of personal weapon as a better or improved option comes along, her downtime is mostly spent down at the shooting range, tinkering with technical improvements or just field stripping and maintaining her sidearm.
Sometimes bemoans the fact that she doesn't get treated like other fembots, she does though often forget to disengage her armoured battle mask which may be a contributing factor.
Maxima was among the reserve forces called to aid the survivors of the fall of Altihex and so impressed the LRRP unit that would become known as The Altihex Blades with her fierce dedication that, when the unit was expanded, they specifically requested her as their heavy weapons expert.
ABILITIES: Currently uses a customized AS-19AT4 Plasma Sphere Shooter in robot mode, which emits a stream of glowing balls of Plasma energy that explode on contact. Amongst the larger and stronger of the Autobot fembots, Maxima's strength is in the 70 ton lifting range.
Equipped with a Jetpack that allows her flight in both modes with a top airspeed of 300 MPH. Has additional solid fuel Rocket Packs that allow her to accelerate to escape velocity (roughly 25,000 MPH) for rapid spatial deployment, a standard modification for members of the Emergency Orbital Defence Battery.
Transforms into a laser-targeting Rapid-fire Rocket Propelled Grenade Launcher equipped with High Explosive, Incendiary and Percussion grenades.
WEAKNESSES: While she is strong and well armed, Maxima is not the most proficient of close quarter combatants, often over-relying on her strength to win out in such situations. While she is not amongst the slowest of the airborne Autobots she is among the least manoeuverable in flight.
