Inquisitive by nature, humans have been captivated by their Autobot protectors from the moment Optimus Prime introduced himself to Spike and Sparkplug Witwicky. On one hand, this curiosity has always helped to ease Cybertronian-human relations in the face of Decepticon aggression. On the other hand, many humans (beginning with the future Mrs. Carly Witwicky) have endangered themselves in misguided attempts to meet their Autobot heroes. In an effort to help divert human attentions away from more sensitive operations, Autobot Intelligence Officer and informal PR man Jazz concocted a plan to create "official" Autobot celebrities. Partnering with American network television, Optimus Prime volunteered five Autobot warriors to be shadowed by human camera crews as they go about their daily lives in "HHC" (high human contact) assignments. Season One of the resulting television program, entitled "PrimeTime" by the studio executives, has been a runaway hit so far. Unfortunately, given Jazz's intentions, the program's success is as much a product of the stars regularly having to spar with showstealing Decepticons as it is of the so-called "Celebots'" angst over being giant robots trying to make it amid human society. For all the drama and the danger, be sure and tune into PrimeTime!
