I agree, looks like classics got some competition. They even got an Octane too but for prices like that and them being unpainted it's not worth it

Hopefully Cyclonus, they'll do that with as I'd love to see him get some proper treatment.

But then the creators came around and ruin it by sticking Wheelie's head back down.
Hasbro should be taking notes by now.

Jizaitoys showed pics of their prototypes of Powerglide and Octane well before Hasbro confirmed they were doing those characters for Classics/Universe.
Part of me wonders if Jizaitoys' choice had anything to do with Hasbro subsequently just happening to pick those same characters.
What Jizaitoys are doing is exactly what Classics should've been.

I spoke with the designer "Emperor Leo" in December and he expressed that these will be painted in two different basic colors. He usually makes 80 of each character to sell at the Wonder Festival shows. So that means that at the Summer Wonder Fesitval 2008 show - expect to see more.
Jizaitoys has fallen behind in the production because they've been deeply involved in the design of Octane and Powerglide. They were hoping to have Octane complete as well for this show, but it is still a work in progress. Obviously a triple changer with 3 perfect modes are hard to do.
He did tell me that the assembly is not that challenging but some special modeling tools are required. Unfortunately, Jizaitoys does not sell their products outside of the Wonder Festival shows in Tokyo. And sadly, from what I have heard from participants at past shows - the scalpers purchase these pretty quickly. That means expect to see these on the auction sites but at higher prices.
Jizaitoys is not interested in mass producing these or selling their molds to other companies. They seem to be pretty content at making and designing the characters and not that interested in making a huge profit. They do commission work from time to time, which is why you'll see lots of different morphing characters including Chromedome (which is not for sale).

Is it wrong to think that frog/girl is sexy as hell, and that the depreded green thing needs to be shot?

(On a side note, I don't mind if it means I have to order them unpainted).
