Honestly, with a little reshelling, it could easily work as a space flat top (the ship mode would at least)

Wait a daggum minute here.
The image says wave 1 2016.
Does this mean what I think it means?

Another good one would be if TT made it into Galaxy Shuttle

No it doesn't.
Bruticus is wave 1 and Sky Reign Wave 2 of 2016 combiner wars and transformers as a whole. Titans return would be wave 1 of the titans return stuff starting after combiner wars, making it more like wave 3

To each his own, I guess. For me, the extra head guy worth owning is Crashbash with his nifty beast body and clever dino mode integration.

Possibly, but it is identical to the astrotrain design in the stormbringer graphic novel, same transformation scheme and all.

I know people like it and of course it all comes down to personal opinion. I'm just disappointed that galvatron is being done this way. I see that toys and fiction intertwine. I didn't and wouldn't buy a combiner cyclonus for the same reason. Just a pity in my own personal opinion.
Not just IDW. G1 cartoon Galvatron wasn't super impressed with Headmasters and Targetmasters either. But I'd rather have a decent, larger-than-deluxe Galvatron get released with a gimmick that doesn't compromise the toy, rather than not get him at all just because he doesn't fit the current aesthetic.
Galvatron shares my view so lol. I'm truly disappointed that galvatron and sentinel prime are headmasters, two figures I really wanted. Hopefully takara do their own thing and make them complete robots with their own heads.

Well, while I don't fancy having the extra heads stand alone (the only reason I'd buy him is if they made a version of him with a non-sunglasses head), I do think that the engineering on Crashbash is unbelievable.

Yes, it means exactly what it says. This is the first wave of Generations Titan Returns of 2016. So right after wave 2 of combiner wars 2016, around the summer.

And what of a textual report describing all of the announcements and Q&A that were given at the panel? Is that on its way as well?

Well one of them has to be Chromedome, there is literally no way no one at hasbro didn't have the foresight to include Chromedome. There's this little thing called More than Meets the Eye that hasbro can't ignore.

Okay so here's the thing about beast wars, and I love beast wars, however with the exception of airrazor and terrorsaur, maybe one or two other, the original figures are close to perfect. Especially considering the fact they based the show models off of the toys. Also Chromedome does this thing called be a headmaster, which is what the generations toys are doing right now. And also rewind. Super fucking IDW rewind.

Perhaps, but they could've released modified op and megatron in an anniversary box or something, I mean, come on

Blaster-don't like as boom box/base & they probably won't release all the cassettes just like they did with all other blaster/soundwave molds
Skullcrusher & hard head - very good
Sentinel prime - colors & mold could fit as omega supreme better...and omega has been in comics awhile. And sentinel was white and then became nemesis so I don't understand the colors.
Hasbro is trying to match g1 molds but then make characters that aren't headmasters into headmasters. Or combiners out of characters that weren't g1 combiners.
Now IDW will be writing comics to fit toys which may not be a good idea.
G1 started to have bad toy molds and ideas, and scale was crazy. ACTIONMASTERS?..a transformer that could not transform. Point is the generations/classics line was started as a good line with nice robot & alt moulds. Now hasbro is starting to remake characters that were already released, and choosing iffy molds that have lots of repaints to churn out a lot of toys.
For a collector, which a lot of these toys are made for, I don't need multiple primes, bumblebees, soundwave etc...THERE ARE LOTS OF CHARACTERS...make molds for new characters...there are still more females, if hasbro is making masters, make them all..not a few then jump to another idea.
And the mass shifting to explain poor scale was a stupid explanation. The enigma of combination was a good idea but seemed like IDW is retconning its own storyline. Which may continue to happen if they try to match hasbro's semi-Parr toy machine.

However, I hope for the sake of consistency with the other recent Triple Changers, that the inevitable Astrotrain is NOT a headmaster... I just realllly hope that I can get the original six Triple Changers in a consistent style (in other words, Voyagers and not Headmatsers).

Guess you're in for a disappointment (like 99.25% sure that this'll be used for astrotrain)

I somehow doubt that these toys will be compatible with the Headmasters fron the 80's in the first place.

astrotrain was one of my first generations figures and liked him, though since they did the larger voyager autobots and blitzwing they obviously need a bigger foe.
