So Alpho Bravo is colored almost completely red in his alt mode, kinda like Universe 2.0 Blades.

Finally got in on the CW action today. Picked up Silverbolt and Bombshell for now, until I get more dough after Christmas.

Silverbolt looks great in 'bot mode and I love the transformation to Superion's torso. Really smart to make his arms the Combiner's thigh, to give it that extra bit of stability, and the joint are nice and tight so it feels like it'll hold well. The alt mode looks great apart from the whole bot underneath, but that's not really an issue since I don't plan on having him displayed upside down! Although from the side you can really see his arm, but when displaying side on I plug the weapon into the back of the fist and it really looks cool there. Makes me want a 2nd weapon so I can do the same either side. My only gripe with Superion is that the rubber antennae don't stay upright. Looks like he's got rabbit ears! I may have to take them off and see what I can do.

Bombshell is a brilliant little figure, by the way, in both modes. My dilemma is that I now have 3 mismatching Insecticons on my CHUG shelf. 2 Legends with different colour schemes and the Deluxe FoC Kickback. I don't mind the colours being a bit off but I do hope they release a Legends sized Kickback. FoC Kickback is a great figure but I like the idea of the Insecticons being Legends sized.

So glad Alpha Bravo can use his fist/foot as landing gear, doesn't look nearly as strange in helicopter mode anymore.

With regards to the "rabbit ears" try loosening the screw in the back of Superions head, I did this with mine, I loosened it about halfway and the antennae now fold up perfectly straight.

Thank for the tip. I tried this but it didn't make a difference. However, if I then tighten the screw back with the antennae pushed as far forward as they can go they hold in place. When I transform him back to jet or robot mode they go back to how they were as the antennae get pushed back. Just means I need to repeat the process when displaying as Superion, which isn't much of a bother. Nonetheless, thanks for the tip as it's solved it in a roundabout way!

Also, this may sound like I'm pointing out the obvious, but for those that like to display their planes on a raised stand and worry about seeing the robot underside, you can at least get rid of his legs by folding in Superion's chest pieces. It makes the undercarriage of the jet look a lot better, but becomes unstable when put on a flat surface (not that you'd care on a flat surface though, unless it's see-through). Can't do much about covering up the arms, but as I said before a side angle looks good when you plug the big gun in the back of the fist.

I really feel that the designers were simply giving us an update on the G1 toys and tried to replicate the look as much as possible, including where the kibble is, but with more articulation.

Deluxes (€19.99)

Legends (€12.99)

No Windcharger but I am never going to buy him anyways

Voyager (€28.99)

Optimus was there as well, just didn't take a pic

I'm gonna stop complaining about US prices going up.
I saw on the voyager box 28euro. Just converted, 28euro = 35 usd. Yikes!
I know the euro and pound are stronger than the dollar, but come on!
Is it more expensive to distribute over there?

Well over here in England Voyagers Silverbolt and Prime are £22.99 which, again, is about £35 converted. I actually thought £22.99 was cheap, but that's because Smyths and TRU are big chains, so can price more competitively. On the UK based sites and smaller stores Voyagers are usually around the £27 mark (almost $42).

Not the sharpest pics (hand-holdings manual focus macro lense is not easy) but it's still clear....

It's obvious from the underside too (the part that becomes Silverbolt's lower chest - but not risking another transformation here.

I've emailed RK to see if there's anything they can offer, as OP has issues with his combiner head too (so floppy...) but it does't really affect my ability to keep Superion on display.... I guess if I see a decently priced Silverbolt at retail next year I might pick another one up.

Mine arrived last night, and I've only opened Silverbolt and the limbs, but man these guys are big and chunky and stable and easy to transform and stuff. This is what I've wanted for years and Hasbro totally nailed it. This year is going to be good!

If I may ask, how'd that happen? Was the double hinge assembly that the Superion's head is attached to really tight, and you ended up using too much force to move it? Or did it occur when you moved the red Superion chest pieces into place to peg them into the section with Superion's head?

I suspect it's the latter from what I'm seeing. At least we know now not to use too much force when bringing the chest pieces together. Sorry 'bout your luck. :(

If anything it was more the former

The red chest pieces are on a double hinged extension, and open "out" a fair bit, and don't really tab in too tight. The damage came from how I was rotating the neck plate

Picked up Powerglide this morning, very nice figure, looks great in both jet and bot mode (havn't bothered with the "gun" mode, because quite frankly it loose awful) also dont seem to have any of the issues wth tabbing the rear section together which has been reported in a few places, must have struck lucky with mine.

Longtime fan artist Cheetimus has provided a sighting, but not just any sighting, oh no. He's presented, with photographic proof, the first US retail sighting of Combiner Wars Deluxe Wave 1, at his local Target in Maryland.

He tweeted about it, which you can visit by clicking on the image that we've embedded below:

ImageRob Roberts‏@Cheetimus

Look what I found at Target for $11.99 each:

Image

Wave one consists of three Aerialbots (Firefly, Sky Dive, Alpha Bravo) and one Stunticon (Dragstrip), all of which combine with Voyager Class Optimus Prime to form Ultra Prime, which you can see in our galleries here.

It may seem odd that an East Coast store would see a sighting of these first, but I was the first to find Energon Leader Class Galvatron all those years ago and in PA no less, so it's not unheard of, just rare. If you have a sighting such as this, share it with us at sightings@seibertron.com and remember to post your findings in the sightings forum as well, and if you have anything news, please send it to news@seibertron.com and you could see your name up here and earn a news credit!

Just checked mine, I've got stress marks on the same side yours broke! I've figured out the cause, it's due to 2 very small tabs that hold the piece in place in jet/bot mode, if you shave them off it prevents the part from flexing too much during transformation. There are also another 2 tabs exactly the same that hold the head section into the chest in jet/bot mode, I've shaved these down also making it easier to pull Superion's head out. Neither of this mods compromise any of the modes, don't know why those tabs are there TBH it's a much smoother transformation without them.

Ah-ha. That's awesome that the new merch fell under the sale price. I'd call that a, good fluke.

I stand corrected, the sale price is still on at Target, but no CW figs in sight. Did finally pick up Tankor at that price along with Skrapnel and Reflector.

So I guess Hasbro had a change of heart and won't be doing comic packs just for North America after all. Bummer, not a fan at all of the international packaging.

Just a correction about that statement, the comics are not made for north america outright while the packages without the comics are for international audiences. The comic packages thus far have been the default while the ones without them are for places that have language laws saying that there must be a translation for the material on the language of the region. Now obviously, the main language of the USA and several places in Canada is English, so the packages come with the comics. However, the main language of Quebec in Canada is French, and thus the comic cannot be included in the packages sold in the province. In reverse scenario, some countries outside of North America don't mind English as the main language found in the product. Hong Kong, for instance, has the packages that come with the comics.

Thanks to TWO submissions, we've been alerted to Combiner Wars Wave 1 Voyagers and Deluxes (!) being in stock and shipped from Amazon themselves. One slight wrinkle, one possibly big wrinkle: Slight is an extra 1-2 days to process on the limb bots themselves, while the big one is that they're now priced the highest on the market right now at $18.99 per limb!

If you want them, you better act fast before Amazon sells out, even at those prices.

Alpha Bravo

Dragstrip

Firefly

Optimus Prime

Silverbolt

Skydive

Image

While these have not hit saturation, yet, they will if you're patient. If you want 'em now and you're willing to pay a premium to obtain them, Amazon will be your best bet right now. Not to mention, with distribution issues in certain parts of the country/world, gas spent, and time most likely wasted, this is actually more economical in the long run. All of the figures are Prime eligible and after $35.00 their shipping is free.

I'll play the waiting game. I'm still waiting on Roadbuster and Skybyte... Hopefully we'll still see some 2014 releases on shelves once Combiner Wars breaks loose.

More luck in Maryland. Found an unopened (albeit trashed) box at the Westminster Target store. Figures are the same code as previous Generations deluxe toys and are currently ringing up at the $11.99 sale price until 1/17/2015 according to the sale tag on the peg. Normal is $14.99.

Also found that some stores are doing their resets and the RID toys are hitting the pegs. Warrior at $14.99 and the small Legends size at $5.99, so far. Picked up Grimmy.
