Not sure about these guys. The general idea is cool - I've always wanted to see a non-cassette minion - but these ain't particularly complex or clever. That Ratbat looks extra clunky with its naff disc-wings and tiny head.

BUT I think with them in hand, we may all change our tune a bit because of the playability, launching, auto-transformation. (?)
Guessing we may walk away from the entire FOC line feeling like it was a bit of a compromise. Heh.

Not sure if I'm buying these guys, but it's cool they not only did a faithful update to the original toy's gimmick but they also did much more than just Laserbeak. While there's technically only ~3 molds, we've gotten Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Sunder, Ratbat, Rumble, Frenzy, Rewind, Eject, Ravage, Ramhorn, and Steeljaw all within a short period.

gothsaurus wrote:So we're confirmed to get ALL these with FOC? If so, that's cool news. Minions are a good thing. Is this the mold breakdown? Any new heads besides Ratbat?
1. Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Sunder, Ratbat,
2. Rumble, Frenzy, Rewind, Eject
3. Ravage, Ramhorn, Steeljaw
Almost:
1) Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Sundor (from Sun and Condor) and the retool Ratbat
2) Rumble, Frenzy and the retools Eject and Rewind
3) Ravage and possibly Steeljaw
4) Ramhorn

They did a great job finding in a way to shoehorn in a LOT of (often rarely-used) characters for the FOC line. The retool with Blaster really is nicely executed, too. I hope they can keep up this kind of well-planned thinking.
As is, our "Classics"/WFC/FOC shelves will be overflowing... and every Decepticon is going to have a bird on his shoulder.

Ravage, however, looks like a coffee table with legs and a head.

1) Laserbeak, Buzzsaw, Sundor (from Sun and Condor) and the retool Ratbat
2) Rumble, Frenzy and the retools Eject and Rewind
3) Ravage and possibly Steeljaw
4) Ramhorn
While spelling it Sundor for the reason you stated above makes sense- that's what the original toy was called/spelled- I thought I'd seen in all the official announcements and listings that his toy was spelled Sunder. I could be wrong, though.

I've checked the galleries of the SDCC 2012 event when the toys were on display, but Blaster's buddies were nowhere to be seen. Steeljaw is indeed a retool of Ravage however.
"Sunder" with an "e" was officially used only once: in the Allspark Almanac II. Aside from that... Hey Hasbro, Sun + Condor = Sundor. Simple as that. Or maybe you'll understand this:
サンドル (sandoru) = Sundor
But:
Sunder = サンダー (sandaa) = Thunder
Sorry about that, I just hate it when a pun is needlessly lost in translation.

Well, technically, it only makes the Animated character named "Sunder" while the Kiss Players and Aligned characters get the name "Sundor".JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Bounti76 wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit
