They wouldn't have worked either not in live action.
The Jaegers of Pacific Rim would beg to differ.

Those robots were as smooth-looking as the TF: Prime robot designs and they don't even transform. I'd even be willing to call them less complicated looking than the TF: Prime designs, and they still looked good in live action.

Not every movie's giant robots need to be overblown with multi-layer panels and shrapnel decked out all over their bodies.

Ah yes, the jagers. I was thinking of them earlier, although their armour wasn't complicated the joints were. However let's face it we all know what the source inspiration was for the jagers ;) (which is why I like del Toro, and keep praying that he gets to do his Mountains of Madness adaption)

This is just how I feel, after four movies I thought people would of come to terms with how the designs went (for better or worse). There is no sense thinking about what could of been, far better to think ahea towards the
inevitable reboot ;)

Now, about DOTM, I went in wanting to like it. I had heard mixed things about it but most things said it was better then RotF. During I kept checking my watch, my phone, anything to keep me distracted from the screen as it was boring me to tears. It dragged and dragged. I haven't seen a movie do that since Return of the King. The characters were just types, Sam's story I thought was pointless. It was like "oh we need Shia in this one as well? Yeah. Hmm..We already did his story arcs though. Just throw him into the job market with a fan service girlfriend" The bots were the same, Shockwave was
hhyped but didn't do much, I felt his appearance in the first movie game had more impact. Megatron's design I liked but it wasn't his movie, in fact it would of been better if he wasn't involved and it had shockwave working with Sentinel Prime.

The score was more or less forgettable. Maybe you think I'm a little harsh, but this is how I feel. Just because I don't like it shouldn't ruin anyone else's enjoyment of it :)

Mass Effect. Anything with swords. That's about it. Anything that doesn't remind me of Transformers in some way, or fashion, I don't give a damn about.

In AOE when Brains transfers all of the sparks of dead decepticons into the KSI robots, could some of them have the sparks of Shockwave, Soundwave, Starscream, and Barricade?

Well, Megatron's "soul" was transfered to a new body as Galvatron. Why not the others?

I was disaponted to not have seen a reborn Starscream however.

All Brains said he did was translate Cybertronian information from the heads of Megatron and Sentinel into English for KSI.
