Best Megatron toy from the last five years?
Out of all the Megatron toys that we have gotten so far in the last five years (not counting 3rd party or Masterpieces)?

I think Animated Leader Megatron falls within that interval; so I'd have to go with that one. Easily better than any of the movie Megatrons.
Generations WFC Megatron as a runner-up. Good rendition; sadly, he's just not big enough.

I'm gonna go with RoTF Leader Megatron, with WFC a close 2nd. If we had gotten a DotM Leader, it would have blown them all away. All of them. From 1984 to 2013. Except maybe the BotCon 2006 exclusive.

Generations WFC Megatron by a wide margin. It is one of the reasons I started collecting again.

For me it's gotta be Dark Enegeron DOTM Megatron.

And it holds memories of going all the way down to Lotte Mart in Korea to find a single ToysRus.
Pretty cool stuff in Korea, unexpected haul.

I am suprised that WFC seems to be a favorite. Do y'all think IDW version might be a good one?

United Megatron. Followed very closely by the United WfC Megatron and the eHobby exclusive United WfC Megatron.

I favor the DOTM design the most. Plus you can chuck Laserbeak in there to sweeten the deal. This mold looks quite monstrous and villianous compared to the usual Megatron fare to me and i dig that. Plus it has fantastic detail in both modes. Only thing it is sorely lacking in is paint apps.

FIVE YEARS?!
That's a pretty large window.
So, 2008-2013.
Only 3 come to mind, each ones in a different size class:
Legend: RTS geewun Megatron. Nifty little guy. Robot mode is pretty accurate and we have a GUN Megatron. Just paint that orange cap black.
Deluxe: TF Prime 1st Edition Megatron, single packed version. I cant tell about the one that came with Prime and the kids, but this one is the BEST Prime Megs there is. Perfect robot, perfect vehicle, and a fun and intuitive transformation. Plus, shiny paint.
Voyager: DOTM Megatron. Sure, he's very very small for a voyager. So small that he's only in scale with DELUXE DOTM Optimus Prime! Still, both modes are pretty impressive and he's not a pain to transform.
Honorable mention: Generations deluxe Cybertronian Megatron.

I have to say Generations War for Cybertron Megatron, too.
It's just so solid, and good, and bulky in its small way.
And he has a massive Deceptiface on his back!

Agreed. I have every variant of that mold, and it is truly incredible. His bot mode is just perfect and he pulls off a very 'big and bulky' feel even though he's a small deluxe.
That cannon on his arm is outstanding as well.

United Voyager Megatron, because I can never get enough of the voyager classics molds. Also WFC Megatron aint too bad for ya get out of him. Animated leader megs is... okay-ish, but I feel he's weighed down by the problems that come with being in that size class, A.K.A. big of electronics and/or other gimmickry. Specifically the talking mouth gimmick just makes his face look horrible.

I have to say Animated leader is my favorite in the past 5 years. Great G1 homage, good proportions, colors are nice, rotating rotors, cool sounds, and an unexpected alt mode. Great figure.

Yeah but trigger placement behind is back seems awkward.

I thought of that one as well. Even the repaint kicks ass.
ROTF leader Megatron also has a great look, IMO. Superdetailed and ANGRY.

Re: Best Megatron toy from the last five years?
United Beast Megatron. Yeeesssssss.
But yeah the WFC mold is pretty great. The various versions of the TFPrime Voyager are all fairly nice too. I have the first Hasbro one, but those Arms Micron versions are pretty tempting. The shiny one for the Microns mostly, and the newest one for the paint job. the Dark Energon version probably looks great in a display with good lighting as well.
