Cleaned out Sei-An City, helped an alien girl go back into space, met the queen of something, learned the Fire Burst Brush Technique, watched a guy get beat up by an orca named Orca, made Orca my personal sea-faring mount, climbed Cat Call Tower, which surprisingly enough had no men shouting impolite things at women, (Though had there been one attractive woman on the tower, Issun would have fulfilled the pun) and learned the Cat Climb Brush Technique.

It's been quite a day.

After obtaining some "mega-ice", took a trip back to Goron village to freeze one of the lava flows. With the Goron village now accessible, got permission from the elder to access their sanctuary. 2 Tunnels and a puzzle later, met the Fire Locomo and restored more of the tracks.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
Took out a bandit leader, found and depopulated the Silver Hand hideout to return a lost item for the Jarl of Winterhold. In Winterhold, found the artifact I discovered now located in the college temple. Received a telepathic temple from a member of the Psijic order. Now need to find my way downstairs to a long forgotten area.

Learn early on just how high/far you can jump. It'll make leaping over enemies/projectiles/gaps a LOT easier. I know this must sound pretty basic, but seriously, it be important, yo.

That and eff the haters.

Also, anyone know if the DVD drive from an Xbox 360 Arcade/Pro/Elite whatever it's called can be plugged into an opened 360 S and be usuable? Do they both use the same SATA and power cables? I'm wondering because my S's DVD drive is acting up on me and my dead launch model is in dead a box in the basement like many an ex-wife. I've already given its hard drive to the S; if I can salvage the optical drive too, I'd be pretty glad.

I don't have an xbox, but I don't see why the hardware between the two models wouldn't be compatible. Especially if it's just a SATA port. Standard PC hardware so I doubt it's got a proprietary control.

Good news folks, I've begun my real venture into:

Zelda II: Adventure of Link (GBA, NES Classic)
Where to start... OK, started in Rauru and picked up the Shield spell, which I recommend on using a lot in the beginning. Then headed to Parapa Desert, but before tackling Parapa Palace, I knew of a hidden Heart Container along the eastern coast, guarded by a Goriya. So I fetched that first, I'd need all the Health I could get.
Parapa Palace wasn't that tough if you knew what you were doing. The Shield spell really came in handy against the Iron Knuckles and finally Horsehead (or Mazura). Definitely get the Candle for illuminating caves, because once you finish it, you won't be able to enter it again.

After the first Palace was done, I went west to Ruto. nothing to do, except retreive the Trophy from a Goriya in Tantari Desert for the Jump Spell, and fetch a Magic Container in a cave south of North Castle. That's it basically. Then I ventured a little further, through Death Mountain down to the water town of Saria. I'll see what happens next.

My current stats:

Attack Level: 2
Magic Level: 3
Life Level: 4
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

You would think so. Only, it turns out that plugging the Original 360's disc drive into the Slim results in the Slim recognizing the drive as a DVD drive and JUST a DVD drive, so it can't run games. Apparently this is due to the firmware and can be avoided by swapping the drives' circuit boards. But, the Slim drive's a different model, so you can't swap boards.

Adjusting the Slim's laser's potentiometer did nothing, either. I went ahead and ordered a new laser that should get here soon.

Well, *everyone together now*, Now you Know....

Sin and Punishment: Star Successor
Escaped the dream level by fighting off both forms of a Shamaness person. First was fast but the second was a total pain. Impossible to avoid so had to learn how to dodge.
Next level was an on-rails driving section, which is different setup than the on-rails shooting sections I'm usually playing as. Took down a sabre-tooth cat boss, then a vulture boss, now trying to fight their combined Griffin form.

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
Running side missions. Delivered Bunnies to the Rabbit Rescue, delivered some more Mega Ice to the Goron village, delivered Timber and a Handyman to the Anouki, and received an upgraded shield from Niko.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim
Still playing this after 104 hours on first playthrough. Knocking out side missions and exploring. Tested out some anti-undead scrolls. they blew up in my face. :BOOM:
Let someone test an empowerment spell. Instead, turned Green, turned into cow, then a horse, then a dog, then back to myself. told the caster "let's never speak of this again".
Found a stray dog and kept him with me. Snuck into an evil mages lair. Doggy didn't survive.
Ran into M'aiq for the first time.
With all of the above done, found 2 more dragonwalls and Earned Thane-ship in Dawnstar and Winterhold. Just leaves Falkreach, Riftin, and Winterhold left. Once I'm in everyone's good graces, I'll decide if I should join the imperials or stormcloaks.

And knowing is half the battle! Yoooooooo Joe!

Okami:
Fought inside Jabbu Jabbu's The Water Dragon's Belly in order to get control of the device that would control him. Bad news, my efforts killed him. Worse news, after giving sexy sexy Rao the Fox Rods she had been searching for, found out she is really the freaking Nine-Tailed Fox, who had killed the real sexy sexy Rao, took her place, tricked Ammy into finding and giving her the Fox Rods, then killed Queen Himiko, and is now running amok.

God damn it, Naruto, you should have kept a tighter leash on that thing.

Also, knowing that taking apart your Xbox comes with inherent risks, and taking apart the DVD drive to fiddle around with the laser also has risks.

More side questing. Retrieved the final piece of Mehrune's razor, but the summoning to repair it took a sharp turn when Mehrunes ordered me to kill the Mythic Dawn priest. I don't take orders from has-been end-game bosses of previous games in this series  so I refused and took out the goons he sent after me.
Nearby, found a dragon on a word wall. Snuck in from above and performed a sneak attack, taking 1/3 of the dragon's health before he know I was there.
Found 2 more dungeons, each with a word wall. Headed south and finally found Falkreath city. Running minor quests for them as well.
On the stat side, just hit level 50. After a major smithing binge and reached my dream of constructing dragon armor. made both dragon plate and dragon scale armor, improved both, and left the dragon plate and my former glass armor in Solitude for display. I'm now the dragon warrior, complete with my Argonian tail.

Sin and Punishment: Star Successor
Finally defeated the Griffin boss. he's now my pet and he gave me a ride to stage 6. the difficulty has ramped up significantly as it took me 20 minutes just to survive to the first checkpoint.

To be fair, they could only get rid of Mehrunes by having Martin sacrifice himself so they could summon Akatosh, and Akatosh holds the same seat in his pantheon that Odin or Zeus do in their own. And getting a Daedric Prince angry is a very, very bad idea. You know how they keep mentioning the Red Mountain erupted in Morrowind? That's because Azura was mad that the Tribunal failed to follow her exact instructions (Don't let Nerevar die, and don't use the Tools of Kagrenac) so she blew up the whole damn island. And she's one of the friendly Princes. (Though Vivec may or may not have raped her as well, it's kind of vague)

Mehrune's Razor is actually not that bad, since each shot has a chance to insta-kill almost every enemy in the game. But at your level, you undoubtedly have something much nicer.

Zelda II: Adventure of Link (GBA, MES Classic)
Bah, I hope to never go through this part again. Yet, I have to, to find a Heart Container. Gah!

What I'm talking about? Death Mountain, past the Town of Saria. First I had to find Bagu (aka Bug) in order to pass the bridge there, then I had to fetch the Life Spell by finding a mirror. Off I went into Death Mountain, and it definitely earns its name in this game. The first tunnels weren't so bad, but the last few with the Dairas are murder, especially the red ones! The prize was worth it though: a hammer to smash any rock on the main map into oblivion.
So now I can either go to Midoro Palace, fetch more experience in the hidden caves, or go to Mido to learn a new spell or two.

I learned the Fairy Spell by finding the Water of Life in the case in Mirogue Swamp and the Down Thrust from a knight, only to find out that Death Mountain did not have a Heart Container, just a short cut back to the big graveyard south of Mido. D'oh. #-o I did find a Heart Container in one of the caves near Midoro Swamp, and raised a level so it's all good.
Midoro Palace is a step up from Parapa Palace, but not too tough. The Iron Knuckles continue to plague me by throwing the stronger red variant in the mix. Found the Power Glove, so I can lift boulders many times my weight break bricks with my sword. No joking! The boss Helmethead (aka Jamafencer) took a while, and the shield works against you as it only protects your midsection, not your legs and head. Worst was when I defeated him, I was 100 exp short of a new level, and upon completing a Palace, you automatically raise one. So I wasted a level in power! :BOOM:

Wish me luck in the Island Palace...

Xenoblade Chronicles [Wii]:
Awww yeah, Canadian one-day-early release date and dat artbook.
Played my first hour, which will be the first of many to come. Got to Colony 9. Currently talking to the townspeople, taking on Quests and finding named NPCs. I should probably head to the weapons lab.

I didn't think you could gather black. I have red, green, blue and maybe yellow? So I have more jelly than you.

War...war never changes...

Fallout sure as hell does, though. I knew the Interplay-era games were more like an RTS than the more action-oriented Bethesda-era games. A lot was kept (And a lot of this I'm only seeing retroactively, I haven't played the Interplay games before) like sound effects, the stat system, designs, Ron Perlman, and such.

On my way out of Vault 13, caused a massive dent in the rat population. Hit up Vault 15, only to find nothing but more rats and a broken elevator that I can't use without rope. Phooey. Hit up a nearby town for information, and got info on a nearby Raider tribe and a cave full of Rad Scorpions. Well, 2 o'clock, murder time.

Picked up a tri-pack of FO, FO2, and Fo:Tactics. Couldn't really get into Fo or Fo2 and never tried tactics. Guess I got too used to the FO3 game style.

Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks
Spirit temple reassembled and cleared of enemies. Wasn't able to save my damsel in distress or prevent the demon king's resurrection. Took a side trip to the desert and found a final Locomo, who unlocked the path to the sand temple.
Next up on Pimp My Jeager.
