They just announced that Hot Rod would have a French accent in TLK. I remember when it was in the casting stage right before filming that French Academy Award winning actor Jean Dujardin (The Artist) was in talks to join the film. Since Hot Rod is confirmed as French do you think They could be adding another A list actor to voice an Autobot?
If this is true, this upsets me. Why even add Hot Rod if he is not who he is supposed to be? Bay is just ruining another character, but this time it is an important one. I bet Bumble bee takes Hot Rods role and becomes the next prime. That would be horrible. Hot Rod should be introduced as an important character in the series and this French accent is b.s. is not going to cut it. Like Jean Dujardin is going to carry the t.f. franchise. yeah right. This just shows that Bay is full of his self. he is doing this on purpose. he does not care about the fan base or the true origin stories of t.fs.
