I gave up reading through these comments, such anger and hatred.

These guys just wrote the scripts, they had nothing to do with the visual interpretations of it.

Anyhoo, I would like to thank them for writing a script for a live action tf movie. I'll find out in a few months if I like their work (hoping like crazy).

I don't understand why people try to defend dumb movies by admitting that the film is dumb. That does nothing for the film. It almost makes it worse. "They knew they were making a stupid movie- they just didn't care."

If you want to sink 100-plus million into something- at least tell a decent story.

And Beast Wars, for all it's faults, rocked- and probably has more three-dimensional (no pun intended) characters than this film could ever dream of.

I dont know that it will be a dumb movie and for the most part neither do you, or are you really Bay in disguise and know exactly how this movie is going to be. All I have to go on is the trailer as well as the images I have seen and based on that the movie will be a big budget summertime popcorn movie.

It means they're finished with this particular movie and are moving onto other projects.

When writers are needed for the sequel they might be asked to return then, or they might not. Such things are far off from being finalised.

These guys are LEGENDS!!! Xena. Hercules. And now Transformers. Who knows what the future will bring! Perhaps a remake of Orgasmo. Or maybe a retelling of Gigli! Their writing talents know no bounds. To infinity and beyoooooond!

Don't forget their involvement in MI:3, Legend of Zorro, and The Island; inarguably some of the greatest and most profitable classics of our time.

And that the original draft was by the guy whose biggest claim to fame is losing the straw-pull and getting credited for Catwoman.

I think these writers are now on board for Bay's new apocolyptic movie, 2012, which has to do with the Olmec/Mayan prediction of the end of the world in the year 2012. There was an article last week in the general news that mentioned it.

1.) Add one full (packed tightly) cup of Bitching. (With extra bile behind all the hatred spewed out)

2.) Add the same amount of moaning. (Something has to accompany all the bitching. It's a part of the fabric of the cosmos. Bitch and moan, time and space.)

3.) Attack the writers because it's all their fault. (And don't use logic, it has nothing to do with money being the driving force. Damn you! I said no logic!)

4.) Add in the destroyed childhood ('cuz let's face it, a movie and a handful of toys *WILL* destroy a childhood, I mean it's like been proven and ****.)

I'm so sick and tired of hearing you people complain about this damned issue. Don't spend your money on it, and then shut up. If you haven't paid for it, and haven't added to their bank accounts, then you haven't helped them to continue "destroying" memories, etc.

Whining about people whining doesn't help the situation. Instead is only inflames people to become more hostile. Let's cool your jets and let's not ignite this topic with personal attacks.

ive noticed something.... the biggest hate flamers on this board, all seem likt they registerd withing the last few days/weeks, specificly just to piss moan and fling crap about the movie.

seibs had a thread once about bandwagoning, and im realy seeing the merit there.

my little speil earlier didnt help matters any either im sure, but people please, if your only going to register to piss and moan, then throw insults at your fellow transfans, please dont.

and remember, these guys didnt make the movie, are only a small part of it.

so please, stop brutaly atacking everyone and everything.

You know- I don’t want to come off as a flamer for the very reason that I like this site so much. The movie though, just infuriates me. The script, the people behind it, and the “way” the emphasis is placed on the robots. They aren’t characters. The characters are the coolest thing about the franchise (face it, without them it would just be go-bots).

Welker hasn’t been announced, because Megs has like one or two lines. Starscream’s big betrayal- is running away. A dog pees on an Autobot. Stupid. They are aiming so low for this film- to reach the widest common denominator- and it just really bugs me.

I’d much rather talk about how awesome the Classics line was- or how the dark blood god demands a Trypticon reissue. I want more classics really bad- that little Trypticon- he was so cool- but he was so tiny.

But I consider this a number one priority. (well, maybe that reissue could tide me over)

script, as important as it should be, surprisingly is not my biggest concern; i've been worrying more about the designs of the characters. I'm trying to feel positive about this movie and hoping that even if i don't like/agree with the designs, at least the movie would be fun to watch, which seems like it would be.
