Oh yeah! I didn't think of that.

Though, at the same time, the explanation sounds a little... cheap.

I kinda wish Primeval Dawm had been completed so that its explanation of Waspinator having gone back to Cybertron through Tarantulas's Transwarp portal with Primal Prime's team (but having arrived ahead of them, somehow) had come to fruition.

Yeah, but he kinda has to have a new head to both match the comic head and match what the Club said. ;)

The only reason I say unconfirmed but likely is because technically, between Eject, Chromedome and Rewind, you do have 3 figures with new headsculpts ;)
Well, Eject's only speculation at this point.

And even if he were confirmed, his head would likely just the same head mold as Rewind's head, so that still only two new heads.

Even then, the 7th bonus figure does NOT count towards the 3 head total! As confirmed by the club:

Transformers Collectors' Club wrote:For 2.0 we will be offering 5 Deluxes and 1 Scout with THREE new head sculpts.

The 7th is not in that quote, meaning the 3 new heads apply to initial 6 only.

So that means Chromedome, Stylor, Rewind and Treadshot are their G1 selves in a variant IDW continuity. Interesting. :-?

I'm actually shocked at how many people care about this figure, lol. Obviously, it's going to be the new Generations Waspinator mold and by the time you get it the mold will be over a year old already. I don't know why people are suggesting that Funpub is going to use an old mold. They don't seem to want to do that anymore. (beside Ultra Mammoth, but still) They should have used the Waspinator mold to do Venom with a new head. That would have knocked it out the park and sold the subscription service like hotcakes !

X, he has way too much retooling done for it to be Generations, they only said new heads. Tho they did say only United, Generations and Prime molds, and they're unable to use Unicron Trilogy molds. They never said anything about Beast Wars however. :-?

You just said it yourself, they just used a Beast Wars mold, and Thrustinator is very, very clearly based on Dirgegun. It's a lot cheaper to retool a headsculpt than a headsculpt, the chest, the wings, AND the gun.

Then it definitely looks like a safe bet that he'll have a new head sculpt -all bar the official confirmation.

He could be the only Club Figure so far that is really "must have" for me.

They didn't necessarily say "only" molds from those lines - http://transformersclub.com/TCC_FSS2.cfm

The assortment includes some very popular Generations, United and Transformers: Prime molds.

It "includes" those molds, but there's juuuuust enough elbow room for other line molds. ;)

@Rated X, the Generations Waspinator mold is too new for the Club to use at this point. Even though this new "Thrustinator" toy won't be coming out until much later next year, the Club would have to have molds that are available now for them to use and plan with.

Like JelZe and RAcast said, it's so totally the old Dirgegun mold, right down to most minute of molding details (minus the new head). The Club's budget only allows them to remold just one feature of a toy mold (2007 Thrust's wings were counted as a single set).

Well TFCC is usually pretty faithful to the mold they plan to use when they draw it in their comics. I didnt know that was a TFCC image. I was under the assumption someone here just scanned an old comic to show us who "Thrustinator" is. I was so bummed by the choice I didnt bother to read the article lol.

Following last night's illustrated reveal of Thrustinator as the 6th figure in TFSS 2.0, we now have mock-ups of the actual figure. As speculated the figure is a retooled Beast Wars 2nd Dirgegun. Check out the images below courtesy of the official Transformers Collectors' Club.

I'm not a huge fan of this particular mold, but I really love the colors. Makes me think "Toxitron", cause he looks pretty toxic.

Now where's the Chromedome pics, FunPub??? It's almost 9/15, and I've yet to see the entire gang!

Oh, and is the 7th figure going to remain a mystery till the very end??? :BANG_HEAD: I feel like that will inevitably just disappoint the majority of us, as we'll have higher expectations that will be impossible to fulfill.

Is 7th going to be a scout? That would narrow down the possibilities... but I'd be pretty disappointed if it was another Rewind tank. #-o (I really don't care to have matching pairs like that, and would prefer to see HEINRAD! )

More than likely the 7th figure won't be revealed until it comes out after all six of the main figures (unless something gets leaked).

Its size class is also a mystery, but it'll most likely be no larger than a Deluxe, no smaller than a Scout.

Last time, on Beast Machines... Poor Waspinator. Stuck in bikerbot's body. Nobody missed Waspinator. Then, everything changed. Everyone was happy. Except poor Waspinator. No glory. No power. Never gets what he wants. Or does he?

Waspinator has new body! But has to share with bikerbot. But that's ok. Because together, THRUSTINATOR has planzzz! And you all will see them real soon!

So would this mean he's a combination of Thrusts' and Waspinator's personalities? I can imagine him speaking with both voices spliced together
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Bummed it wasn't other figures shown in the comic...Hauler, Clampdown, Redwing, etc. Maybe they'll show up on the shelf?

That said, for a wild card — and if you HAVE to throw a Beast Wars character into the set — I'm glad it's an obscure Japanese mold. That's cool. Since I have those four, I guess I'm destined to get this one as well... in spite of it looking a bit wild and awkward.

Looks better in bee mode. Picture it with the big laser folder onto the back instead. (that was possible, right?)

Thrustinator looks amazing and I absolutely cannot wait for to get my hands on him! I'm just a little surprised that he is the fifth toy reveal, I was kind of hoping it would be Redwing but do we really need another seeker mold, plus we really don't know anything about him.
