I can confirm that two local Target stores that within a 15mins drive of where i live will not sell them until that street date. So next time, be more considerate towards others.

4.) My girlfriend works for Target as a GSA (Guest Service Associate), so she knows their policies inside and out. She checked them for me several times and confirmed that these are NOT street dated. They are planogram dated, for the week of the 26th, but that does not prevent their sale. It. Does. Not. The only time a planogram date prevents a sale is when the new assortment of toys is set on one or two pallets and they've been plastic wrapped. In those cases? Yeah, it's true, they can't get them for you. They would have to tear the entire pallet down to find these two boxes. No one's willing to do that. That may be what happened in your travels, but most stores have these cases resting on a shelf, not wrapped up in a pallet.

5.) Another piece of proof that they're not street dated: Everyone and their brother seems to be able to get them, now. Look at sightings on all the boards, across the country. You'll notice a lot of people say "The DPCIs worked for me." Only in a few odd occasions do you see that people were turned down, such as yourself.

6.) Be more considerate of others? I WAS BEING CONSIDERATE! I told people to find someone in the store and give them the DPCI and that they'd most likely pull them from the back for you. If they're not on the pallet and they have access to the case? YES, they MUST sell them to you. It's company policy. If one store won't do it, another will. If that store won't do it, then another will. You might have to drive a bit, but sooner or later you will find a store that will accommodate you.

- I don’t see how it can be on my end or with me, when I’m simply repeating what’s being said at Target stores BY Target associates and my fellow friends near and far. And my, my, my, your defenses went up with lightning speed almost immediately.

- Yeah the policies and procedures are probably the same nation wide, but the people behind the counter, the register and out on the floor are not. Intelligence, friendliness, and the willingness to help the customer is a key factors to help the customer to find what he or she is looking for, no matter if it's a toy or not.

- I Feel that you did and swooping down saying “HE’S INCORRECT ABOUT ALL INFORMATION ABOUT TRANSFORMER: PRIME TOYS SOLD AT TARGET STORES” Definitely could have went about it a different way, instead both barrels blazing and using your g/f as the side kick or an intel officer.

- Key words there you just mentioned: toys on pallets, wrapped in plastic and yeah it’s true they can’t get them for you. and relax man, it's Target, not Gucci or Saks 5th ave, or a high end store. Chill! Again, these are plastic toys made in china, not high end clothing line or high end exotic cars.

Too me, its sounds like you have proof? Where is it? We’re told by Target associates about this street date, maybe their being confused with the planogram date possibly? And who said anything about DPCIs? When before DOTM was released I had DPCIs and ask a Target employee to check and pull it, and he said no, they have a street and said you’ll have to wait and I have a witness for that.

I felt you was overbearing with your information cause your g/f works at Target and not only that, making me feel like a total retard about this issue over freakin toys!. Also, Target don’t have to do squat, if their told by management or even Hasbro reps not to sell anything they don’t have too. I have been refused before at Target, so it’s not the first time or the last. Also, it’s back to the employee and how they want to react to helping a customer. I guess your Target or Target stores in your area is special compared to mine.

Well maybe you should re-think what to type next before you just hop-in and saying “my g/f works for Target and this is how it is no matter what and what you say doesn’t count” Doesn’t work like that, I respect anyone and everyone on this site and others.
I’ve never, freakin ever had someone like just hop-in and belched out what you just did and now you have replied back to me with all these reasons and expectations like we’re on a game show or something. I get it, when someone has inside information or knows someone who works for some retail store, doesn’t matter if it’s Wal-mart, Target, and TRU. We wanna rush right home and boot up the pc and start posting, but come on, it’s toys. Yes I am a HUGE Transformers fan and yes I will help others out just ask on here, they’ll tell you that. As of now, I’ll just be happy when they come out, whenever they do and the funny thing about this whole ordeal, i have no plans to buy Transformer: Primes figures anytime soon. I tried to help and I get yelled at. I'm done discussing this with you. I'm reporting this.

I'm going to agree mostly here with Autobot032...I do not believe these boxes have an "official" street date like a movie or video game. They have a plan-o-gram date and here lies the problem with us getting transformers and retail mindsets in general, and basically illogic logic.

When I worked for Office Max as the electronics supervisor, we too had this same situation a lot. We were told by management not to sell the new product that was to be on the plan-o-gram resets. The management was so scared of the district managers impressions on the store, and the district managers were scared of the regionals. When the district managers came in, they were more focused on store image that sales. We had times where product would slip through the cracks and get sold. I remember one time the toner cartridge had a reset and on resets generally there is a visit from the d. manager shortly after within a day or two. The toner isle looked horrible and me and management heard about it. That's the reason some of the associates and management won't do this, it depends on the management structure.

To me this is crazy and Hasbro and Target should both hear about this. There is a huge following of Transformer collectors and this not the way we should be treated.

If these toys are in fact "street dated" to Target, why was I able to walk into my local toys r us last friday and find every single now TF Prime toy in stock, which I bought. If they were street dated it would be a nation wide policy regardless of retailer.

If you were not sold to, I would ask for a manager to show you the street date on the box. If there is none, or if there is a plan-o-gram date on the box, and they still won't sell, ask for the district managers name and number. They will cave, they have too. District managers hate nothing more then having to deal with customer complaints from and unhadled store manager.

Call targets customer support line. Talk to them direct. I bet you get results in a hurry.

As much as it pains me to say this, I can't blame Hasbro or Target. Hasbro, more than anyone, but... Well, let me clarify for others. (You get it.)

Target: They're overloaded with DOTM in all size classes. Hasbro's put the movie toys in limbo, basically. We're not even sure if DOTM is still active, yet we know Movie Trilogy is upcoming. Now, Hasbro is shipping them new TFs not related to the movie in any way, with no shelf or peg space to sell them. So they have to planogram it out, with time to do so. We can't blame Target for having to walk the tightrope.

Hasbro: They fulfilled an order from Target and they had no idea that Target would have to planogram anything.

I think, at this point, it's just a matter of bad timing. No one's really at fault, just a tough situation all around. I'd hate to be either one.

This is what I've been trying to say all along. I was trying to explain it for those not in the know. You do, so none of this is aimed at you. I realize that stores do break street date sometimes, I know, I own some of those figures. However, I know people who work for Target and they all told me that these specific toys are not street dated and they are available for sale. If they're palletized it's not a matter of "We won't.", it's a matter of "We literally cannot. It's locked away and we don't have the manpower to break it down for one or two boxes of toys." Some stores unfortunately are in that rut. Others aren't. Sooner or later, one will be found that will accommodate a buyer.

Hello all, just a quick update and I would like to thank Autobot032 and the help with the box info, because of him I have gotten all the new Prime Line thats in this first wave but for Bumblebee, have the first edition and like that more this this new one, and just need Megatron and have all that I want till the next wave.

Have also found the DOTF: Basic human alliance Reverb and Drag Strip finally!

Also hit me up with a message if your playing Minecraft, looking for a new server.

Many thanks for the heads-up on the DPCI info! Went to Target in Elyria and asked the kindly gentleman working in electronics if he could look the number up for me. He said sure and told me there was a box in the back! There were no V-gers, unfortunately... But I did get a CJ, Jackie, and a Sika-sika-Soundwave! I was so excited, I was whooping in the van on the ride home! Really, ask my wife! Then we got a MooLatte from DQ, so life is like amazing right now! Night, y'all!
P.S., Wolfie, I did the same thing with my Bee, didn't get the R.I.D. cause I have the First Edition.

OMG I love the new Soundwave, cant pick between him or Wheeljack tho for the RID first wave.

HAHA Sorry, Lycan. Yeah, there are some that she really likea and she hunts for too. Like Animated and G1 arcee, and Prime CJ, like I said. She also likes the Kreons and we are both hoping that they end up selling them separately so we can buy them. Our whole hallway is full of them. V-gers and Leaders on shelves, and Deluxe and under are hanging up on the wall.

First off, I want to say this information about Transformer: Prime figures and Target has gotten out of hand between me and Autobot032. The only thing I'm expressing that Target is Target, but its the employees who has the desire to help the customer or not. I am a member of other Transformers sites and one of them is http://www.TFW2005.com and it appears they are having trouble too. It appears that some deluxes can be bought, but voyagers are the main issue. According to a well known source on that site, some Target employees know about the street date, some don't. But if they do bring something out of the back and its scanned and says "Street Date" then your out of luck and will be taken back to the store room until that date. Not only that, if the isle reset are not done and there's no room for new items, the new items won't be put out for sell. All I'm saying is that I've had friends with me and my wife with me just to find out information if they can be sold before the street date and 2 local Targets said NO. Plus as of now i have no intentions of collecting these figures yet, just passing on the information and experience I've had personally and from other friends/collectors. Not only that, I'm not here to make enemies, I've made a bunch of friends on here and help out a bunch as well. If no one believes me, you can ask Jenus, Doc Reggae, Devastron, Shokwayve, Prime_Fan, and Typhiod. I've helped everyone of these collectors out by either picking it up for him, or stashing it behind something and shooting them a PM to make sure they getting it. So with this being said, I'm done talking about it, i have my personal views and experiences about this topic and no one can or will change that.

Nah, he won't get in trouble. If anything, he'd get a verbal thrashing, but no penalties. It would require something far more drastic to end up getting into the kind of trouble you're talking about.

Which is fortunate, considering how much hell we can give 'em.

The TRU in Lima had a bunch of new TFP figs in--couple each of Voyagers Megs and Op, and a couple each of Cliffjumper, Bee, Wheeljack, and Soundwave.

I found Poweriser! Optimus Prime at the Parma, Ohio TRU this week. I had found some Cyberverse Prime toys there last week, but I cleaned them out. I'm hoping they'll start getting more soon!

Over the past two weeks I've picked up all of the first wave of PRID EXCEPT Soundwave at the Targets at Sugarcreek and the Target on North Fairfield Rd here in the Dayton area.

I also got the Powerizer Voyager Prime and Megatron at the TRU in Centerville (near the Dayton Mall).

I've seen small amounts of the Legends PRID at all three places, but only Cliffjumper and Bee. Also I did see a few of the Bot Shots at the above mentioned TRU.

I'm hearing that TF: Primes figures are filtering the Dayton/Kettering/Beavercreek areas, so be on the look out.

Good in the fact that there's more booty for me, but there's like no one to commune with. Oh, well, I'm not really bitter. I have family in Lorain, actually. Done plenty of shopping in both Avon and Elyria. Some shopping at the Super K-Mart, though their selection usually sucked.

I bought most of Energon at the Elyria TRU. The first wave that had the red cards. The Voyager Cliffjumper/Ultra Springer (whatever his name really was) wave, in fact. That was one expensive trip, actually...

There's nothing worse than walking in a place saying to your self "OK, I'm not spending more than $15 bucks..." or something like that, and then coming across something you KNOW you can't leave on the shelf. That happened with me when I walked into TRU one time and saw MP Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod sitting on the shelf (the only one, mind you).

Expensive trip indeed...

Okay, went to TRU today and saw they put out there TF:P R.I.D.s I don't know what all was out there when they were freshly up, but when I got there, there were 3 OPs (grabbed one!), 3 Bees and a CJ. OH, and a Cyberverse Bee. That was a fun trip. Can't wait to go to TGT Sunday morning! See what the spread's like! Oh, and don't ask the toy guy at Avon WM anything... he's totally clueless. We know more than he does... yeesh. See ya!

well Transformers prime is in Ravenna! anyone in the ravenna area the walmart on state rout 59 has them! when i got there they only had 4 TFs. all voyagers. 3 primes one megatron. i got the megatron. going out to look at target later today. pics for proof later. phone is very dead

So i stopped at one of my local K-Mart's and they are now starting to carry the Prime figures at a pricepoint of $13.99. They had 1 CJ, 1 WJ, and the rest were all Bee's. Looking at them i was not really impressed with any of these figures except maybe WJ. I think that i will be passing on this line for the most part and focus on more third party and G1 stuff.
