Remember that listing that showed up in Wal-Mart's computer system a couple of weeks ago that mentioned a Generations Warpath? A member at ACToys has post what could be our first look at the figure. The image is rather small, but it's definitely a red tank similar in design to the previously released Classics 2.0 Legends Warpath.





Additionally Warpath was featured in the comic that came packed in the Rodimus/Cyclonus Battle is Space two pack.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is mistransformed. I hope it is, anyway. Aside from the slightly odd shape, it looks pretty good, however.

well off the bat i can tell that the turret is pointed in the wrong direction. i think i can make out the back of the head on top of the turret, and those silver bits on the sides of the turret look like joint covers for where the arms attach. the tank treads on the right side of the image look like they form the legs, and the bigger treads on the left side look like they swing up to the position of the silver parts of the turret to become the shoulders. basically it looks like the transformation is pretty similar to animated shockwave, with the exception of the turret forming the chest. lots of 3mm clip spots, i see at least 4, one on each of what i believe form the limbs.

this looks to be pretty cool, i just hope the color is a tad brighter for the final release, but honestly i wouldnt care, hes bought. besides, how many maroon transformers do we have?

I like it, and I'll buy it... But I would've been fine with sticking with the Classics legends Warpath, since he was a G1 mini-bot. That version was already well done, articulated and detailed for it's size-class.

I'll definitely pick up this newer version when I see it, but part of me wishes that they had saved that new deluxe mold slot for either a character who hasn't been done in Classics yet or one in desperate need of a new upgrade, rather than a fairly recent release with an already decent version.

That kind of logic would've kept us for getting RTS Jazz. It's best to think of Legends as a line unto itself. Hell, I consider them to be Fort Max accessories!

That's a good point, Zod. I definitely love the new RTS version of Jazz. And I do like legends class TFs populating city-formers as accessories (for Metroplex & OS; I can't afford a Fort Max!).

I just meant Warpath was previously a mini-bot, so I was OK with the recent version in legends class (along with the rest of the mini-bots). Jazz doesn't work as a legends size for the Classics display, but I felt like Warpath does? And that recent Warpath was a fantastic, articulated update! I would've preferred seeing that upcoming deluxe slot go to another character (just my 2 cents)... but you're right; HasTak's been great about continuing releases of G1 characters in the Neo-G1 format, so I guess it doesn't matter. I'm hopeful that we'll still see the release of all the major unreleased characters in a Classics version (Shockwave, Blitzwing, etc etc).
