If this post goes through it will be the first one since early today. Maybe before noon CDT. Good luck, Seibertron. I work in IT. I know what this can be like.

Actually VIEWING the thread undoes that for that thread as normal.
Edit: Still happening, and it makes it very difficult to keep up with the goings on, when coupled with the inability to go to the first unread post in a thread that is 2 or more pages long.

And yesterday when this happened, emails for a lot of yesterday's new posts didn't come until today.

Since that page listed one restriction, the 500 character limit, it seemed logical to me at the time that if one restriction was listed there then if any others existed, they would also be mentioned. Hence why I looked no further at the time.
My search for the rules began once you mentioned I was in violation of them. As I said, not out of doubt. I had no reason to disbelieve you and every intention of bringing myself in line. It was more out of curiosity.
I knew in theory that forum rules existed, but as someone who does not regularly (or at all, honestly) visit the "General Discussion" forum, I did not know where they were located. They are kind of hidden by being a sub-forum there. In looking for rules, I tried the FAQ, and I looked at the list of forums as presented to the right of every page and in the drop down box under the "Forums" tab at the top of every page. I only found them after doing a search of the forum for the word "signature," then looking at the earliest results.
It would be a lot easier to find them if the rules subforum was at least visible in the drop down box. I know that is possible, as for some time after third party discussion was relegated to a subforum, it was still visible in the drop down box during the adjustment period when people got used to that change.
As it is now, unless you are someone who visits the General Discussion forum, there isn't really much to indicate where the rules are located. Them being a bit more visible would not be a bad thing, in my opinion.

Thanks!
