Mr. Bay, I apologize, you're not an idiot ... You're a giant douche.
What exactly is he doing that's a problem? Making Transformers more popular than it's ever been? In what twisted universe is that a bad thing?

Apparently you havent realized yet that 9 times out of 10 going mainstream either kills or slowly kills franchises & genres. More people on board isnt always a good thing. Before the movies was there ever a time where people complained about overpricing, low quality, not being able to find something or having to deal with scalpers every time something comes out? No and why is that, because it wasnt mainstream and only fans and people who stumbled upon it knew about it. It wasnt until the movies that the franchise was thrown into disarray & hasbros greed was flamed to new heights. The franchise as a whole was way better off before bay got his grubby little hands on it and the mainstream morons were mad aware of our beloved franchise. Now if Transformes were to go through cycles like Star Wars & the various comic book properties do then it would be golden but forcing it to stay mainstream is slowly killing it. Like ive been saying Transformers needs a break and needs to take a year or two off and then be started up again from scratch. Thats the only way this franchise is going to be put back on track, either that or fire every one whos involved with it right now. Either way something needs to be done anew.

Seriously, some of you guys are complete dicks, you read way more into one clip than anyone has any right or ability to be able to do and you should be ashamed of yourselves because people like you are the reason that the rest of society thinks that TF fans are bigger pricks than Trek and Star Wars fans COMBINED! The sad part is, they're right.

Yet, you're the first person to attack the fans (and fellow posters) rather than just state your own view on the subject at hand.... Now who's the prick?
Take your hurt feeling elsewhere.

He's got a point though. Some people in this fandom get their panties in a wad over the most trivial stuff and start running off at the keyboard without any thought or reason behind it.
Seriously, death threats because Optimus has flames says it all.

Being compared to the likes of Jackson and Cameron in the interview is a complete joke...could you boost the guys ego anymore than it already has been? When it comes to all fandoms there are pricks in every set...bashing each other solves nothing. I have as much respect for the Trekers and Star Wars fans as the TF fans. If Bay wants to do this movie right...then the inevitable has to happen...kill Bumblebee in the opening sequence! Bring in Hot Shot or add some beasts to the bunch and bring in Cheetor. We need a young new hothead in the group with a lot to learn that is not just comic relief. Optimus needs to age a bit...not falling apart like Jetfire but enough to show he has battle scars. Bring in the rest of the seekers and have a new leader emerge among them. Give the Autobots some damn air support...I want to see Sky Linx. There are so many things that can be done. As far as the leader goes...well I'd hate to see Galvatron...but Bay doesn't have much of an imagination.
I'd like to see Galvatron, but only if he is done right.
Also would love to see the following:
Dinobots
Insecticons
Headmasters
Trypticon or Metroplex or Omega Supreme

So, basically how he was in the first movie.
I don't know why they haven't just said it is a sequel all along. It's obviously not a reboot and if it picks up from Chicago, then it doesn't seem to be a reinvention or whatever else has been suggested. Anyway I'm all for another movie(s), though I doubt any will be better than the first for me, it got me back interested in Transformers and into collecting in general. And I'm ready to hear some info on the premise and villians of TF 4!

The way the game ended was much better. First he beat Megatron and then...
Personally I prefer it when Optimus is kicking ass and taking faces. It makes the Decepticons seems so much more evil. Here's a guy who has shown immense compassion to the human race, treating them as equals and sacrificing himself to protect them. But when he reacts so violently toward the Decepticons it tells me he's seen the horrible things they're capable of and how dangerous they can be when left unchallenged. Kinda like what makes the Joker a great villain. He's able to bring out the worst in Batman.

The other thing you need to factor in too is change in buying habits.
A lot of people are moving their shopping online. Shopping for your kid? Do it from home, you don't have to go running from store to store to find a particular toy, or worse, have to drag the kids along and let them see what they're getting.
People seem to forget all this and just scream "BAY IS TEH EVIL!". Get over it people and look at the bigger picture.
