The problem is that AOE made so much money that nothing will change. Odds are that Michael Bay will return to direct "Transformer 5: Murder Prime" and it will be the worst film out of all.

Michael Bay has run out of steam, AOE makes the 1st 3 films look like masterpieces compared to this last tragedy.

I'm feeling a little nauseous and it's not my stomach virus this time.

couldnt agree more..........i still dont get how Bay even got the job in the first place, the guys movies have all been terrible, i remember when he was made director, i knew exactly how these movies would play out.......hollow, all action, no substance......like each and every one of his films.........
i remember in film class, my teacher pointed out Bay as a glorfied hack.........and thats what he is....... :HEADHURTS:

Who is "we?" Are you part of the pre-production or production of Paramount's Transformers franchise?

My brain said "we" as in everyone at Hasbro and Paramount, more correctly I should have stated "they"!

I would not admit to working there even it was true :michaelbay:

You can thank Spielberg for that, as he was the one who personally requested/suggested/wanted Bay as the director.

Guess even Spielberg was more concerned about the icing rather than the cake.

See when I heard that bay was director I didn't care, I was more bothered about the writers...you know the ones really responsible for the script and the majority of the jokes.

The script I'll give you, but a lot (not all, but still a lot) of the jokes were indeed from Bay.

The ones that weren't and were just as unfunny can be attributed to those other parties at fault.

Does this mean the movies can be considered timeless? :P

 No. Whining is.

We should put up a fact list about what we can and cannot blame Bay for and pin it. That way, we can harshly punish these people who keep going on and on.

I wish. ;)^

FWIW, when I wrote that giant 42-page (MS Word pages, that is) review of AOE, I gave more criticism towards Kruger and barely mentioned Bay in it.

This is not a rumor, but more like wishful thinking. I wonder if Rodimus ever makes it to Bayverse, and his character isn't completely bastardized, would Judd Nelson voice him? I know he still performs once in a while in TV shows and stuff, but does he sound different than 30 years ago? Would he even be interested? I don't see why he wouldn't.

If I had my pick, though, depending on what the character ends up like, I'd love to have Al Pacino voice Rodimus.

I doubt either of those actors would associate their good names with the TF movies. They're just garbage.

Are you kidding? Judd Nelson hasn't had much to brag about since the 80's. Hell, Al Pacino was in "Jack and Jill" and he LITERALLY associated his name with that movie because he played himself! I bet it would take far less coaxing than you think for these guys to do a TF movie.

You're a piece of meat, what would you know?

Seriously though, the movie franchise is a high profile nonsensical joke. Sure Pacino and Nelson have had their share of stinkers but they'd be stupid to go into a product that is already known for being poor quality.

As poor quality as it is (and it certainly is), it keeps raking in the big bucks regardless, which could very well be another nice paycheck in their pockets.

They're hardly impoverished and in need of a quick buck are they? It'd be a real surprise if a big name attached themselves to the franchise now, imo. I was taken aback when I read Mark Wahlberg has signed up!

The same could be said about the likes of Leonard Nimoy, Tony Todd, Hugo Weaving, John stinkin' Goodman(!), etc. Still can't believe we got John Goodman in Transformers.

Then again, also still can't believe with got Tim Curry and Mark Hamill in Transformers (even if in one of the cartoons rather than the movies).

Arguably they all got involved before the franchise turned into obvious ****.

So, since John Goodman was just in AoE, are you saying the franchise turning to obvious **** is still in the future? Or is it happening currently? Please explain as I am merely a piece of meat.
