Black Dawn: Comment Thread

This doesn't follow actual Transformers canon. I came up with some ranks to fill in the gaps of the ranks we already knew. Ranks, from highest, are Prime, Duon, Treia, Maxor, Minor, Senex, and Nuvos. I'm using the insignias to show which side, Bots or Cons, the story is focusing on at the moment. I hope you enjoy this

Chapter 1: Squad 13


--Iacon, Cybertron: Autobot's capitol--

Autobahn shook with nervous anticipation. He was summoned to the command center at the capitol city, a very rare event for an Autobot of his rank. The Autobot leader, Optimus Prime, stood before him. His battle mask hid his expression, but just his eyes could show just how serious he was.

"You don't have to be so tense. I did not call you here because you are in trouble. Quite the opposite."

Autbahn let his shoulders relax as he let out a sigh of relief. He thought he was going to be yelled at for what he did a few days prior: he had accidentally shot a high-ranking officer in foot.

"Excuse me, sir, if I may ask, if I'm not in trouble, then what am I here for?"

"You are here because you're about to be promoted. I now grant you with the rank of Maxor."

Autobahn was amazed by this announcement. Optimus started to leave the room and made a motion telling Autobahn to follow. As the two turned a corner, Autobahn had to ask:

"Sir, what have I done to deserve this honor?"

"Despite you mishap the other day, your superiors tell me that you are a capable fighter, and very ingenuitive. I need someone like you to take part in a very important mission. I'm sending twenty-five teams to earth, some trouble has started their and they asked for help. You are to be in charge of one of the squads. You can pick one of your subordninates, but the rest have already been chosen."

Autobahn was afraid his processor would exploud from everything he just heard. He was going to be responsible for other Bots? How could he handle it? He wasn't sure. The one thing he was sure of was who he would choose to join him.

--A few hours later--

Autobahn stood waiting for the last member of his team to arrive. While waiting he decided to learn the names of the ones who would be working with him. They stood at attention. in front of his new ship. All Autobots of his rank or higher receive their own ship. His was named The Phenomenon.

"Hello. My name is Autobahn Maxor. I will be in charge during this mission. I would like it if you all didn't act so formal around me. Now, can you all introduce yourselves? You go first." he said, point to the left.

"Sir! My name is Paladin." He pointed down the line as he continued.

"This is Hit; his sister, Run; and Aurora."

Autobahn's optics locked on Aurora. She was the most beautiful femme he had ever seen. He quickly tried to push those thoughts from his head. He knew he couldn't have a relationship with a subordinate. He cleard his intake valve.

"Well, it seems we're only waiting on--"

"WAIT! I'm here, I'm here!"

Autobahn turned to see his old friend huffing as he ran towards him. He stopped, stood, and saluted.

"Sidewinder Minor, reporting! Sorry I was late, I got held up with a.. friend."

Autobahn knew that by "friend" he meant "femme".

"It's alright. It's not like I was going to leave without my second-in-command. Alright! Everyone, time to board the ship!"

From that point on, those six were to be known as: Squad 13.

Chapter 2: New Management



--Appalachian Mountains, Earth: A Decepticon Base--

"You will not get away with this treachery!", Yelled Megatron. His left arm lay on the other side of the room and energon leaked from when he had taken a plasma burst to the chest just moments ago.
"You are wrong, I already have, Father!" The Decepticon traitor put disdain on the last word as if just speaking it was painful. His name is Cataclysm. Just as he claims, he is the son of the evil Megatron, the Decepticon leader. He was, very soon, about to rid the universe of one of the greatest evils, only to take its place.
"My army will not accept your rule!" Those were the last words Megatron muttered before he was run through with Cataclysm's blade. His spark went dark. His body hung from the wall, lifeless, pinned there by the sword.
Cataclysm turned to look at his generals and accomplices of this assassination: Requiem, Bloodbath, Obliteration, Extinction, and Slaughterhouse. "Prepare a communication channel to send to all Decepticons. I am about to tell them of the untimely death of our beloved leader. Oh, and put his body with the others we killed when we broke in. Requiem, you can use the bodies for some of your experiments if you wish."
A disturbing smirk appeared on Requiem's face when he heard this.

--2 Hours Later--

"Fellow Decepticons, I regret to inform you that our glorious leader and my father has perished. The Autobots attacked our base, killing the guards, and then slayed Megatron. I realized that the burden of leadership must now fall to me, his heir. I will not let my father die and let the Autobots live. He will be avenged! Decepticons, raise you weapons to the sky and salute our fallen leader, and look to the future! Oh, what a glorious future it will be! A FUTURE WITHOUT THE AUTOBOTS!!"

Sorry, the updates have been months in between. I blame it on my attention span. It is equivalent to that of a potato.

Chapter 3: Welcome to Earth... With Open Bar



--Above Earth's obrbit, aboard The Phenomenon--

"So, that's Earth," Said Sidewinder. He gazed at it from the ship command deck. He looked at his old friend and commander, Autobahn. "What's all that blue stuff?"
"I believe it's called 'wah-ter'," replied Autobahn. "Without it, most life on this planet would die. Lucky for the humans, the earth is covered in it. If only the same were true about energon."
Autobahn walked over to the commuications monitor. "Attention, all Autobots, we have arrived at our destination, prepare to land. We're heading for the Autobot base in a human city called 'New York'. We have to land the ship far from the city, in the ocean, so we do not cause alarm or panic in the humans. Before we land, all transformers must take on a new alt mode for Earth. Report to the command deck on the double."
Sidewinder still gazed upon the Earth. What would await them on this strange world? Autobahn had not told Sidewinder the specifics, but he knew that they had to report to the commander of all Autobot Earth forces, Rodimus. Rodimus stood to enheirit the role of Prime after Optimus.
The other Autobots that were on the ship filed into the room. Sidewinder then set up a hologram showing different earth vehicles to scan. "Alright, pick a mode, and try it out. Autobahn and I have already picked our alt modes."
Sidewinder missed his original alt mode, a cybertronian motorcycle, but he knew he had to stay as hidden as possible on Earth. However, that didn't stop him from remodeling an earth vehicle, known as a "Viper", into a motorcycle form for him to use.




--Appalachian Mountains, Earth: A Decepticon Base--

"Lord Cataclysm, we have detected an Autobot ship in orbit! No, at least twenty!"
"Requiem, didn't you have a project you were working on? Why not test it now?"
"What a splendid idea, my lord. I will prepare the Interstellar Cannon now."
"Good. Extinction, why not take you Seekers as a welcoming party as well?"
"Right away, Lord Cataclysm."




--Back on the ship--

"Alright, Paladin, you're last"
Sidewinder watched the large golden transformer scan through the models and pick an Interim Armored Vehicle. Autobahn stepped forward. "Now that we're all set, we can-"
Autobahn was cut short. A purple beam shot out from the surface of the planet. It destroyed one of the ships that carried one of the twenty-five--now twenty-four--teams of Autobots.
"To battle stations! Aurora, take the flight controls! Hit and Run, you two are on the turrets."
A fleet of Decepticon Seekers flew into view. They were followed by another cannon shot. Two more ships shattered into molten bits. Twenty-two were left.
One Seeker flew in fron of the others. He transformed revealing a scarred robot mode. He was missing a left optic and looked as if he had horns on his head, but part was missing on the horn above the missing eye. "I am Extinction, Sky Commander of the Decepticon forces. Leave now, or perish by my hand." More shots, and more destroyed ships followed his announcement. Eighteen.
"Hey, Autobahn"
"Yes, Sidewinder?"
"I think we're slagged."
