Starscream and Elita have much larger feet than Hun-grr and Grimlock. I made the combiner and I don't think he'll have any trouble standing.
How well it can stand isn't my issue with those feet, it's how they look. Say what you will about the CW HFGs, but at least those used the low profile to achieve a proportional advantage compared to these PotP lego block things.

I guess it's just weird to me they would use these after creating foot molds for the Computron and Victorion sets. I get why, you give the Voyager pieces that, for better or worse, can do something if a kid doesn't have four limbs. I just wish they were flatter?

I see what you're saying. I misunderstood when I listened to the show.

I'm really digging Hun-grr though. The bot mode head sculpt is dead on to the G1 toy. The stickers aren't ruined by the transformation. And the door that hides the Prime Master/Enigma port is really cool.

Finished this one a while ago, was a nice listen on my errands. I liked the points that were made about this year's fan vote feeling somewhat related to the IDW characters/drumming up interest for all characters mentioned in the vote.

I think I may just get more into listening to these casts.

Agreed, its an amazing toy. And so good in fact that it tipped the scales when it came to me figuring out what the best year in TF toys was.

RE: MPM1

An MPM1 reissue in the Studio Series line would be great. But, after observing that Studio Series voyager Starscream in person - which has sharper details, better posability, and portends to be an overall better toy - it's hard to square MPM1 holding the title of 'Masterpiece'.

John Warden said it best: it's the difference between MP1 and MP10. No knocking MPM1, but we've come so much farther in the last 8-10 years that we (I) could use an update.

That whole thing with Hun Gurrr made me laugh. I thought the bet was whether or not it was a retool, not if it shared parts. Because a toy could be completely retooled and thus have no shared parts if all the tooling is changed. Which of course makes it all impossible to prove, so tahts what i thought you guys were gonna go with, ending things on a stalemate. That interview was interesting, with new words like partial tool and John Warden saying that its all over these generations lines (probably including Hun Gurr as well).

What I found super odd about this talk of starscream, is that it doesnt look new at all, but rather an upscale of the DOTM deluxe.

The details match up everywhere. So its weird for them saying this is such a new toy when the toy its based on came out fairly close to that leader Starscream. Plus they consider that Ratchet to be new when it is also based off of the DOTM Ratchet. Yes, all the molding is new, but I find it odd to consider it a new toy just because of that. The molding on TLK Drift was 90% new and yet no one considered that to be anything more than a retool of the AOE one.

Same way I felt. Comparing that RID warrior BB to this new BB makes RID look like an MP.
