One of them has come back to me claiming that one of the two figs I sent him had a broken leg straight out of package. As a gesture of good faith I've offered to paypal him $13 as an equivalent refund for the deluxe that he traded me only to be told that he doesn't use paypal and to send cash, which I'm really not happy to do. Besides the fact that I'd have to buy US currency with commission there would then be added postal costs. I'd far rather just pay the modest paypal fee and write it off as a bad deal. Sending a cheque isn't an option as (afaik) my chequebook is only good for £GBP transactions within the UK. There's a lot that doesn't add up here. Originally he wanted to take four figures off my hands but the rest were already spoken for so I only traded him two. This got me thinking that he was planning to sell them on when my intention was to go for fair trades to help out some fellow collectors with a hard to find item. He also stated that he was a MiB collector, so why open them up to discover this supposed fault? I'm pretty much convinced that I'm being taken for a ride here, but on the other hand he did come through with the promised figures in the trade so it's possible that I'm way off ball. Having offered to take it in the pocket to sort him out I really don't know what else I can do. Any thoughts?
-edit- I wasn't going to name names but check out his reply to this topic

how come he traded with you if you are ntot in the us.
i smell something fishy.
No, it's the other guy that replied to that thread who's obviously hoarding the damned things.
Look at it this way dude, i think everyone you have ever done business with (me included) knows you are a fair and honest dealer, he is clearly trying it on, at the end of the day, if he is a misb collector he would never have opened it, and i find it hardly likely it fell apart (mainly because Windcharger is one of th best made toys i think ive seen from Hasbro. Add on the fact that for such a rare figure it seems clear he's hoarding them, possibly for future profit, and i dont know about you, but i cant stand that type of collector.
Tell him sorry, but you werent to know it was like that (if it even is) and it is not acceptable to send money through the post. As for coming through with the figures, i doubt he'd be willing to convert some dollers to pounds and send it through the post if the boot was on the other foot. Plus im willing to bet if you did send the money, it would conveniently never turn up.
So apolagise again but say it is just a bit of bad luck, and he's hardly missed out seeing as you can clearly see he has quite a few of them. I never like upsetting people, but this guy seems waaaaaaaay off!!!
