Filming for Transformers 3 continues in Chicago, as evidenced by the mounting piles of debris, car chases, the explosions and of course the hundreds of cast and crew that are turning the city into the Transformers version of a paparazzi fest.

Flickr user mtoeset has uploaded an album whoch shows us many things that are familiar. There's Bumblebee, Ratchet, the mysterious Ferrari, and wait... is that a good closeup of Shockwave and Soundwave? I do believe it is! It looks like Soundwave may be getting a little more face time in this movie than last. Click here to see all the pictures taken on that day.

he pic of soudnwave just about confirms he'll be in the fight on the ground this time... Any guesses on a possible alt mode?

Whoa, I didn't realize this earlier but Soundwave looks vicious! It looks like he may have some tusks jutting up lol. Where are Megs and Starscream? Did Shockwave and Soundwave jettison them?

dont want to be off topic what hapend to jolt is he in this movie? arcee will have to wait i guess have not or got any word or pictures if she is going to be in it or not

looking forward to ther bot modes and size comparison who will be voice for shockwave tha intersts me will shockwave have cannon for hand as all the other showvaes do?

Thank goodness!!! Maybe his voice'll be better this time too! He may just stay a triple changer like the game/toy. I wouldn't mind seeing him as a box car so I don't feel so weird about having a Scion xB lol

With Shockwave and Soundwave appearing a bit more at these filming locations, I get the feeling that Starscream and Megatron have been Replaced/Killed/Baysploded

But ya. Shockwave= Better then Megatron

Soundwave =/= Starscream

Either way, I will be glad to see shockwave get Movieverse treatment. And with these two more prominent in the film, It is more likely that their toy incarnations will be given more thought

Or Michael Bay is just screwing with our minds

Soundwave most likely has a battle mode faceplate like Optimus does. If you look closely during Soundwave's speaking parts in Revenge of The Fallen, you can somewhat see insect-like mandibles underneath his faceplate.

Wow...that Shockwave face really does look phenomenal! Remember how Bay said something happened to the country so that Lennox and Epps were on their own...I wonder if that something was Megs and Starscream in Washington DC...that would explain their absence in Chicago...

If it just froze over from this, then Jose Delbo made Hell freeze solid back in 1988. Go back and read Marvels #40-50, so chilling that every -wave turns PURPLE!

Shockwave looks ammazing! I really hope Soundwave gets AT LEAST a Voyager sized figure, but a leader would be even better, same with Shockwave :-B

Can't wait for what thier bodies and altmodes willlook like

....Haven't thought of that. Yeah, I did notice that, so I guess it was expected. But it still shakes me to the spark chamber......

Nice. Both bot heads look great. Now lets start the speculation on thier alt modes! Here's hoping that at least Soundwave takes on an earth Alt mode.

Yes, that what wee need- more slobbery monster mouths. My excitement level has reached a fever pitch! If only there was some way to make them even cooler- I don't know- like maybe if they're only in the movie for five minutes and have a handful of lines... something like this:

Shockwave: The fleshling has the time machine! Soundscream, stop it!

Soundwave: ... What, what did you call me?

Shockwave: Soundscream. That's your name now. The film-makers figured it would be too confusing to have two "wave" characters.

Soundwave: That's never been a problem before...

Shockwave: Well, they tend to know best when it comes to things like this. Remember how they took your face plate away so the audience wouldn't confuse you with Optimus?

Soundwave: But he has a mouth too. A BIG one with creepy lips.

Shockwave: That's irrelevant.

Soundwave: And what about Starscream? Won't people be equally confused between his name and my new one?

Shockwave: Honestly I don't think either of you will have enough speaking lines in the final cut to even merit mention of your names, but if you're worried about your screen time, I suggest you take on an outlandish and somewhat offensive accent like that Autobot over there with the bushy head.

Soundwave: Oy vey!

Makes kinda sense that Soundwave has a different head here, remember the ROTF Soundwave head we saw wasn't his bot-mode head, it was just his satellite head.

I wonder why with movie designs for transformers there are so many diferences in terms of coolness... like we have awesome transformers but some really bad ones like the twins or einsteinbot the other day
