To tell you the truth, though: It's not about what Starscream says, but what he does. He OWNED in the movie despite how unattractive he looks. My hope is that he continues to OWN in the sequal.

Besides, the "best quote award" belongs to Bonecrusher's "In That Case, I Say It Is Survival Of The Fittest."

I'm sure all the best ones from the animated movie have all been done, so here's some from the series:

In SOS Dinobots, after some laser blasts from Ironhide miss him by miles: "You're too slow, rusty-pants!"

A great exchange from Heavy Metal War - Megatron: "Soon, Scrapper’s invention will give me the power to defeat the Autobots once and for all!” To which Starscream replies, “Forgive me, but I believe your boast sounds vaguely familiar.”

He's at it again in Autobot Spike - Megatron: “Interesting! Perhaps I can turn the situation to my advantage, and use this Autobot Spike to destroy the other Autobots... What supreme irony! Turning their friend into their foe!” To which Starscream replies, “You’ve made such boasts before, Megatron!”

In Prime Problem, Starscream memorably calls the Autobot leader "Floptimus Prime!" In The Insecticon Syndrome, he then calls Bombshell a "Rust-encrusted cockroach!"

And finally, in The Golden Lagoon - Megatron: "Show no mercy!" Starscream: "Do we ever?"

This is the challenge: G1 Starscream's "best" lines were goofy, at his "dumbest", or just plain silliest.

The other lines play off of Megatron, which while fitting, don't mesh with what I want from TF2. I mean, context is what a lot of these lines need to work. And not just that, but I DON'T want to see Megatron in TF2. It's still too early to bring him back, I think.

It's hard to find the perfect "Starscream" line for the new Starscream.

I think you are onto something here. Starscream did seem to be at his best playing off of Megatron. I half expect an Allspark changed Megatron named Galvatron to make the appearance for Starscream to play off of.

Does anyone else remember this: "I am the new leader of the Decepticons"? He's said it many times in various phrasings. How appropriate it would be for the Movie sequel since Megatron took a dirt nap.

I always liked:

Starscream: "It was Astrotrain and Blitzwing! They tricked me!!!"
Megatron: "Starscream, you're either a liar or an idiot."
Starscream: "I'm an idiot! I'm an idiot!"

Also:

Starscream: "It looks like some kind of... rust!"
Megatron: "Impossible! We are rust-proof!"
Starscream: "Perhaps you're made of shoddy materials, Megatron!"
Megatron: "That's ABSURD!"

However, I'd prefer Movie Starscream continue to be a serious villain like he is in IDW's series and TF:Animated, than have him be comic relief like in G1.

Edit: Good ones for the movie might be:

"Power leads to victory and power is what I shall obtain."

I don't remember anything in particular, but as I recall, some of Starscream's conversations with Doctor Archeville were quite strong.

These guys need to learn how to write their own scripts.

Just give the Decepticons some actual scenes with dialogue in the next movie, rather than have everyone else talk about how evil they are without letting us find out for ourselves through their characters.

Pretty much anything he said in the original animated movie. My favourite would have to be "I, Starscream, am your new leader!". "Pathetic fools!" is also quite good, but I don't think he said that in the movie.
