I remember when they were casting voice actors. Keith David was originally announced to be Barricade's voice. Anyone know what happend with that?

It was for the game and not the movie.

I think that these Saleen "Barricade" Mustangs has nothing to do with the new Transformers movie but instead these replica cars are being transported for safety concerns to fans who had their Saleen Mustangs custom made to look like Barricade.

These pics clearly show the transformer markings the saleens that are replicas do not have such markings, they say "saleen" instead of "police" and do not have the decepticon logo in the police shield.

I've worded it wrong but I'm trying to say is that I don't think these Saleem "Barricade" mustangs are for Transformers 2. I think some fans had their Mustangs custom made to look exactly like Barricade from the movie. There was a guy in Las Vegas that had his Saleen Mustang to look like Barricade from the movie for his young son.

There are at least 4 of them on the flatbed, I doubt there would be 4 peolple in culver city that would do it. Also the vegas guy just had a regular mustang modded, not a saleen.

sounds like "Baricade" could be back. this might be proof that they are keeping the old alt modes for the sequel. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Bumblebee's alt mode is due out to the public in 2009, which means that at least Bumblebee is sure to have the same mode.

For some reason I remember reading (I think on the toy package, but help me out here.) that Barricade has more of a loyalty to Starscream than to Megatron. Perhaps the explaination as to where he was during the end fight will tie in to that?

...anyone remember reading something similar about Barricade also?

I guess Barricade chickened out once he saw Prime make short-work of Bonecrusher (quite literally). He didn't beat Bumblebee so he knew he didn't stand a chance against Prime. Barricade is going to have to explain his absence in the final abttle, to the Decepticon leadership. I doubt it will go down well.

I wonder if Barricade will get a new partner with Frenzy dead.

I don't know about loyalty to Starscream. My guess is Barricade is mroe a lemming and follows whoever is in charge. Frenzy seemed quite loyal to Megatron, otherwise he wouldn't have bothered to unfreeze him.

In my professional opinion, this rumor is false! Obviously this is merely the case of a repaint specialist going too far D:

I'm glad to see that Barricade will be back. He was one of the best Decepticons in the first movie and I was disappointed when he just up and vanished at the end. I was looking forward to more action scenes with him. Now, we will hopefully get exactly that!

And I'm also hoping he'll have a showdown with Prowl. That would be awesome!

Im gonna probably get some flak for this but how does anyone know this is for TF2? it couldve been a picture captured before TF1?

That's a possibility. But I do have just about every spy photo and set pic ever leaked online from the first movie, and these were not among them. So unless someone took these photos from the set of the first film and decided to hang onto them for a few years instead of leaking them online right away - when everyone was dying for set pics of the FIRST TF movie, this is probably a new photo.

I mean really, if I had taken these photos the first time around, I wouldn't have waited to post them online, especially since at the time nobody knew if Barricad would live through the first film.

If you look at the bottom of the rear wheel whell where it say 643 you will see some body damage. But the car is completely clean. If this was new filming the car would most likely not be that spotless while having that damage.


They are probably just being moved out of storage.

Take a closer look at that "damage" and then look at the bottom middle of the platform the car is on.

That "body damage" is a chain to secure the car, so it doesn't roll off the platform and make a big mess in the middle of the road.

I hope this is something different. I wouldn't mind Barricade in TF2 what so ever, but if its the same alt then it's probably the same figure, and I wasn't to happy with it.

Yeah, Barricade like totally disappeared in the movie, I didn't see him at all in the rest of the movie until the highway seen with Bonecrusher and Optimus. I'm pretty sure Barricade is still in the plot.

I'd like to see your credible source on this. We don't know if this means yes, or no, but I'd still like to see where Bay said, "Barricade's dead, and not coming back!"

Plus, when sequels get written things happen. Optimus Prime was dead after all, and he wasn't supposed to come back in the cartoon anymore either.

I´d say the script of the movie counts as a pretty accurate source.
