The whole prime, jetfire combining thing coud be done similar to Ultra magnus. Where jetfire is more of an exosuit to prime for when they fight devastator. Instead of jetfire making primes legs or something like that.

Totally agree about the Jetfire/Optimus combo being akin to Ultra Magnus' armor. That's the only way I can see the size issue working, unless Jetfire were to just clamp on to Optimus' back for a simple kind of flight mode. And silver or not, the car looks pretty cool and at least they're using old G1 characters, if only their names. I mean I really liked Blackout, but they didn't even name him Vortex- look at it that way. Besides, Sideswipe is one of my favorites, him and Wheeljack (see my amalgamated name). Remember how he was the only one with a jetpack and Optimus had to use it in one of those early episodes? That was cool. And dude! Soundwave! DEVASTATOR!! I think this one has potential.

Devastator confirmed???? YES!!!! A combiner I will get my mits on. Along with Megatron, Optimus, And Jetfire for combining, these are the definite sets I will get from this movie. What a great day!

Well it's been confirmed that there are 3 times as many Transformers in the new movie which would put the number around 30 robots, yet we've only seen a handful on the sets. I wonder who the others will be.

I remember seeing an Audi R8 on the set awhile back. I wonder who that will be.

Maybe somebody made a mistake and the name "Sideswipe" is just a placeholder. Maybe the Corvette is Wheeljack or Silverstreak It doesn't really matter cuz Whoever it is, they'll be badass. And like someone else said, maybe in robot mode there will be a alot of red showing to please G1 fans.

I can see Frenzy coming back and riding ravage like a horse while chasing Sam LOL!

Sideswipe's not a corvette. Sideswipe's not red. Sideswipe doesn't use swords. Blah blah blah blah - for Christ sake, it ain't news that this isn't a G1 movie. How many characters have reused the same names from G1 that were, essentially, transferred onto whatever show they were in?

Megatron? Tankor? Starscream? Hot Shot? Optimus Prime (or Primal?) Soundwave? Prowl? Ravage? Arcee? SIDESWIPE <--- all these names reused on characters who may, OR MAY NOT have bore ANY resemblance to the original G1 namesake. Still, they were accepted as such. So what's the difference here? Is it just that people want to find some excuse to complain about ****?

I agree a little bit with Wolfguard. At most, SOME Movie TFs look quite a bit like their namesakes, but most don't look anything like their namesakes. Bumblebee is yellow. That's it. Starscream is a jet. That's it. Ratchet is an ambulance and a medic, and that's it. None of these guys actually look ANYTHING like ANY version of their namesake that's come before.

Same for this Vette. If the leaked photo is to be believed, the robot mode and, specifically, the face, don't particularly look like any given TF. Not Tracks, not Blurr, not Hot Rod, not Sideswipe. So what?

Since he's at least a Vette, and he reminds me of a modernized Stingray, I'm callin' him Tracks. Since the bot mode and the face don't remind me of anyone in particular, but the car at least reminds me of Tracks, then that's who he is, and I don't give a crap what he's called in the Movie or what his box says. :p

Besides, we already got a modern version of Sideswipe: Classics/Universe Sideswipe.

I think silver is not bad. I'm don't require this new Movie continuity to conform to G1 traditions.

But still, to put some colors into some of these cars will be better. Or else, he'll look like a generic Decepticon. Just like the Decepticon characters in the first movie. It's not easy to distinguish one from another, unless you're a TF fan.

30 Transformers, combiners ... Spiderman 3 Comes to mind. The fact that we're not seeing them on set means that they'll prolly get thrown in during the last 15 minutes of the movie CG style

These "confirmations" by TFW are highly suspect. Either they provide proof or it didn't happen.

Still no sign of hard proof. As far as I'm concerned, these character claims are 100% bogus until we see something concrete.
