So,

The Super Bowl spot is coming Sunday in the third Quarter (few minutes into the quarter slot). The spot will be online a few minutes after that - The full length teaser trailer will only be on Friday the Thirteenth. It will not hit the internet until a week later. The Teaser really only teases stuff - I'm holding so much stuff back from the final trailers because I personally hate going to movies where you have seen it all.

Well, I'm working on Superbowl Sunday, I'm sure someone will put the ROTF teaser on teh internets so that I can check it out. As for the full length trailer, it only makes sense that it would be with Friday the 13th, it'll get more people to see that movie.

Transformers movie director Michael Bay dropped by his official forums to give some details regarding this sunday's teaser for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen during the Superbowl.

Bay states the spot (which was previously described as a "trailer") will air during the third quarter, and the spot will online shortly after. The full teaser trailer will be released on friday February 13th (likely to coincide with the Bay-produced Friday the 13th remake) and won't be online until a week later.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will be released in theatres on June 26th, 2009.

Why would they put the trailer exclusively onto a horror movie that is rated R while the main audience for the TF movie will be PG? #-o

We don't know for sure that the trailer is attached to the Friday the 13th remake - but the fact that the movie and the ROTF trailer both come out the same day can't be a coincidence...

Because Michael Bay is the Executive Producer of the Friday the 13th movie.

That's awesome news, but I think I'll pass on seeing Friday the 13th. I don't want to watch the full trailer that bad. :lol:

Also Friday the 13th is a co-release between New Line and Paramount and Paramount is also co-releasing Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

When I went to see Gran Torino (which is a GREAT movie BTW if you haven't seen it you should) I saw trailers for PG-13 movies as well as other R rated movies.

It is not uncommon for R rated movies to have trailers for movies rated PG-13 one reason is that some movies aren't rated until almost month before release and some movies are cut to be PG-13 because of studios wanting them to released to the theaters as a PG-13 then have an "unrated" BR and DVD release later (20th Century Fox is real bad on this with films like Aliens vs. Predator Live Free or Die Hard being done this way).

So chances are that Friday the 13th would have the trailer for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen because of Bay and Paramount's involvement in both I also wouldn't be surpirsed if it didn't have a new trailer for Star Trek as well.

Sounds like this "spot" (seems like they are intentionally avoiding the word "trailer") is one of those simply to put the word out on the movie...maybe a couple little robot pics but that's it. The important thing is that 100 million people in the US and close to half a billion worldwide will see that Revenge is Coming. Once that happens, then the interest should snowball significantly....

Granted I would have liked to see more of the movie, but he's right: what's the point of seeing a movie when you've already seen most of it in trailers?

I HAVE A FEELIN THAT THIS MOVIE IS GONNA SUCK SO BAD(SO HELP ME GOD IF I'M RIGHT) AND WERE ONLY GONNA PROBABLY GET TO SEE DEVASTATOR AT THE END OF THE MOVIE WITH ROBOTS GETTING LITTLE SCREEN TIME AND CRAPPY AND SHAKY CAMERA ANGLES AND ALSO MORE HUMAN TALK AND BULLSHIT COMEDY. original sin. SHUT THE F**K UP YOU WHINY LITTLE EMO B!TCH. The first movie was fantastic it stepped up the level of robotics for movies in the future and is one of the most spoken movies of ALL TIME YOU STUPID F**K. Transformers the movie has been put as one of the movies you must see before you die catagory and when you can make a film about transformers and put the money towards it and film it then do it your self but. The "shaky camera angles" was suppose to be like that so it looked as if you were looking through the eyes of a person being there. The humor bull **** as you put it needs to be there so we can laugh,it's call human element of the movie because the movie can NOT be about the transformers all the way through because it NEEDS to set that faction of how they get here why are they here and who are they. IT'S A STORY GET THE F**K OVER IT.

Also if some one can film the full trailer on the 13th can you put it up on the net before the week because us in Australia won't get it till that week after and i don't see why we have to wait that length of time.
