Yay! I just want to thank the initial poster for putting this link up. 'Kitty here had weekend from *hell* (mother with major surgery that was supposed to be no big deal but went horribly horribly wrong including a 'return' trip u-turn on the Triboro which involved getting pulled over by Johnny Lawdog, which was...fun) and couldn't get online or to a theater. I knew someone here would be awesome and post a good link. Thanks!

My speculation about trailer--we're gonna need a bigger backstory. I'm actually kinda impressed and happy that there are so many bots in this one, many of whom come with large 'histories' which will add a level of enjoyment for fans beyond what newbies might get.

My only criticism: too many humans. I see John Turturro's back, but I'm not sure he can really reprise sinister/wacky Simmons in a plot that seems much darker.

HK, who never has much use for humans. Urm, in Transformers stuff. Right. Yeah. That's it.

The trailer looks awesome!

Now I'm gonna nit pick. But nothing about the Transformers.

In the shots of the carrier battle group, the best that I can figure is that the carrier is the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71). I can make out the 7 but there is a Hornet sitting on the bow covering the other number. However, it is only covering enough space to conceal a 1 so my guess is 71, thus the carrier "Big Stick".

There is a hornet on the bow in the sea level pan but when it goes to the overhead shot it isn't there. (Still can't make out the number though, even in HD). My other nitpick is the presence of F-14 Tomcats on the carrier (seen in the overhead shot). The Navy retired all its Tomcats in September of 2006.

lmao! I was on the Big Stick Deployment 05/06!!!! We were the last deployment of the F-14's. But yea if thats true myheart just started pounding more

K, so I'm not quite sure if this has been pointed out yet, but in both the trailers, Ravage comes out of the ocean and onto a beach. That MAY mean that he is one of the ones that land into the ships. And if thats the case, then I'm sure Soundwave is one of those ones too, and they might've sent Ravage out to scan for alt forms.

Another point about the trailer worth mentioning is the part where the car crashes thru the office looking room and then continues with the audi R8 transforming. If you look at the before mentioned part with the bot crashing thru the room, it looks as though that might actually be a seperate scene from that of the audi being chased altogether. What leads me to speculate this is the fact that the bot crashing thru the room actually appears to have a yellowish tint to it, hince possibly being another scene with bumblebee e.g. Anyone else notice the same thing, or think anything different?

Anyone else notice that Arcee is not a combiner as speculated before, but that there are three robots chasing sideways (Audi R8). So if they're all fembots could that be elita-1 or some of the others from Gen 1?

That's just yellow lighting outside the window. It's not Bumblebee. You can clearly see the yellow light shining on the floor

So... I was thinking. Perhaps those protoforms crashing into the air craft carriers were not our beloved seekers. Well... at least not Skywarp and Ramjet.

Looking at those pics of RotF Skywarp and Ramjet toys that will eventually be released, you see they're Walmart Exclusives. Have they ever made a toy of character who actually appears in the movie (or cartoon(s)) that was only exclusive to one store before (not counting repaints and such)? I can't recall that happening. So... using my (possibly flawed) logic, that would rule out Skywarp and Ramjet being in the RotF Movie.

I guess we can still hope for Thundercracker (wasn't he in one of those comics... like the Reign of Starscream or something -- sorry, I'm not up to speed with the comics stories). Perhaps also Thrust and Dirge -- or even Cyclonus and Scourge.

Couldn't they be 3 seperate entities that can also combine to make one Arcee bot? (like the 3 minicons in TF:Armada that made Perceptor) I think that's been the assumption by many here... although I definitely could be wrong.

In the Just in case it hasn't already posted here yet department, i got an email from paramount today advertising that the the RotF trailer is now on the official site here. Not bothering with a separate thread because it's the same spot first released on Friday the 13th and on Yahoo. The fact that this thread's about the yahoo posting of the trailer i'm talking about is why I'm posting it here. Just pointing out that it's now also on the official site for ya to find if ya want.

Just to voice my opinion of the trailer before I hit the submit button... Not to be rude about it or anything, but:

This just keeps getting better and better. Looking forward to this thing more and more with everything new I'm seeing. Even Demolishor looks better in the trailer than the toy did.

Also, I know it's off-topic for this thread, but I just figure since I'm already ranting a little about stuff I found today: Just in case it hasn't been posted yet, transformers.com has been updated with a toy line release date of 5/30, with the graphic announcing the date linking to a new-to-me press release found here. Date might have already dropped during Toy Fair (and the release may be old too, since it was apparently posted yesterday), but I just thought I'd pass it on anyway, since I was on it anyway.

As far as I know, I don't think we know who Soundwave's voice actor will be, nor the other new characters (The Fallen, Jetfire, Skids, Mudflap, Sideswipe, etc...)

As far as I know, I don't think we know who Soundwave's voice actor will be, nor the other new characters (The Fallen, Jetfire, Skids, Mudflap, Sideswipe, etc...)

I don't think the voice actors for the new characters have been announced yet. I believe it can be assumed characters established in the first film that continue to the next take their VAs with them (that's how it should be IMO, at any rate); short of that, however, I wouldn't even try to guess.

did anyone else see the 8 protoforms falling? if you pause the scene towards the end and navigate, you can see the other tails of smoke. the one on the left seems to have another one next to it, right on the right of it. and right before the scene switches over, you can see another protoform falling right after the one of the left. im not sure if that is just debris but it looks like another protoform since it seems to be on fire as well.

Ok I just have to ask this but from what someone on a my space forum said that Mudflap will be in Transformers 2 as a Decepticon & I'm not sure but didn't Mudflap start out as an Autobot & then become a Decepticon & then an Autobot again????
